Surprise! šŸ˜„

Hello @monochromes, dear Black and White team, friends all... 😁

so, they finally installed my phone line and I'm taking advantage of the improved connectivity to share some bird photos I hadn’t posted yet.

Does anyone remember how pissed off I was when a thoughtless thief stole my phone cable on April 30th? Does anyone remember how much more pissed off I got as the weeks and months went by and no one seemed to care that I’m actually paying for this service? Well… The repairmen from the phone company (((the only one we have here in Cuba))) finally showed up with the cable… and judging by the delay, it must have gold inside, not copper. I keep repeating it because I still can't believe it, my phone service and ADSL connection have finally been restored. You know, without a drop cable, it was simply impossible.

This fisherman knows exactly what I'm talking about. That gesture fits perfectly here, right?

Speaking a bit about the photo… I placed him in the center so you could see his boat—or whatever that thing is—it's made of polystyrene foam. He throws himself into the sea in that thing to fish every day… or almost every day. I guess he must skip a day now and then.

$1

Thinking about that cable situation… I feel like the Universe is telling me to be patient—that everything comes in life, eventually. šŸ˜› All these months I’ve been navigating the Internet more or less like that man sails the sea—with that chunk of polystyrene foam.

Patience,,, (sĆ, son comas, me gustan asĆ) the birds are already arriving šŸ˜‚.

She’s a punk star!

I’ve made many guesses about how this feathered friend might have lost his leg… he’s become quite the acrobat, don’t you think? Still, it’s sad to see him like this—he must have gone through something terrible. Maybe he got tangled in a fishing line, abandoned nets, or plastic carelessly discarded by people with no regard for nature and its living beings. It could also have been the bite of another animal… who knows. Just look at him there—fighting, and finding joy in his wings.

$1

What I see here is a retro vibe… just imagine they’re about to bust out one of those old-school disco moves down the hallway.

šŸ˜…

$1

I bet you're already thinking of a choreography, aren't you? These two Cachiporras (Himantopus mexicanus) maybe are dancing.

$1

In just a few hours, I’ll be heading out on a trip… I’ll try to return home tomorrow, though I’m not sure—it all depends on how things unfold over there. I feel a deep inner calling that I need to take care of this personally if I want any positive outcome. Or maybe it’s (you know who) pushing me to move, because there’s something I need to do, see, or learn.

$1

I’m going with faith… even though I know that whatever happens tomorrow is meant to be, at least for now. Still, I’m fully aware that I can’t stop doing everything within my reach. What I’m pursuing through all this may or may not come to pass, but what can’t happen is that someday I regret not having done this or that.

$1

It’s all about survival. There will be all kinds of setbacks, but it’s up to us to get back in the ring, stand up, shake off the dust, and keep going...

$1

I promise not to lose my tenderness, nor to stop making my inner child happy. She needs to play, laugh, and experience the joy of living the little things that fill one with satisfaction, to feel wrapped in warmth, cared for, safe… by me.

$1

And so, you and I have reached the end of this post… Since words are the mold of creation, I’ll say goodbye by completing these lines: I am, I have, I choose.

I am the owner and the one responsible for my life. I have energy and good health to face everyday challenges. I choose to follow my intuition and all the signs the Universe constantly sends me, so I can see all my desires manifested in it’s perfect timing. Thank you, thank you, thank you… so it is, and so it shall be.

This is my entry for the #Monomad Challenge.

Yes, I remember that post and I also remember that I wrote a comment about a book in it šŸ˜…. How crazy! Glad to read that you finally got your service restored. Photographing birds takes a lot of patience and your pictures look spectacular. Regards @nanixxx and nice night to you ā˜ŗļø

The art of war! Yes, I let all this time pass and I didn't go there to have a conflict and an argument. I decided to a certain extent to choose my battle... I focused on something better, on escaping from this misery.

Thank you!

Welcome back into the real world, was it as far back as April? Wow how time flies, loving that old guy his face is so expressive what a life he has led with his home made boat

Time flies... You've made me think about how much it has flown and what I did all this time. I will make an inventory of good memories and laughs that will encourage me to continue and every day to be attentive, so as not to miss the opportunities to enjoy a lot.

That bird only has one leg, as if it had no internet connection, but it still walked, adapting to the situation... sounds familiar! I'm really glad that things are working out, everything happens at the right time, neither before nor after, you don't know why... you'll find out in time. I finished watching the podcast you sent me... and I watched two more by this fabulous person... you already have a metaphysical vocabulary! Have a good trip!

Thank you. The key is to walk, stroll around enjoying every corner we discover, and connect with nature... The way will be revealed to us in perfect time. Because everything that happens is part of a great fabric so that the landscape, in the end, can look beautiful just the way we wish it to.

I'm glad you've seen the podcasts.

I can't imagine tha dventure that old fishierman had by going out to the sea with that kind of flaoting raft.
As a person who don't know how to swim well, I think I would not dare to try to get into it to the sea.

Its good to see you got connectivity finally. I just don't know if I could take that craft out to sea the fisherman is sitting on. Hey I'm opportunists if nothing else, sail away! Some great shots of birds. The one bird has been through a heck of a lot. If I a bird can bounce back with such resiliency we as humans should to despite our setbacks. A nice looking boat in that last shot. Remember Im a opportunist I'll get aboard this one instead of the other, jaja.

Wishing but nothing but good days ahead for you Amiga 😁

Why would you choose that piece of polyfoam instead of a comfortable boat? Come on, I understand you, it's not opportunism... It's logic. But well... That old fisherman surely can't choose and finds his security and livelihood in his rustic boat.
You know, here in Cuba it is not very easy to own a boat. There are some dangers related to boat ownership, as well as difficulties in getting a permit. It is complex... Maybe one day I will write about it.

Amigo, your comment has a very good vibe. Thank you. 😃 I came back from that trip very tired. I'm almost falling asleep.

Haha I said i would choose the other. I once fished out of a small inner tube. That wasnt any fun let me tell you. The experience lasted all but one cast šŸ˜† It was a show off in front of friends that I could do it! It provided good humor for everyone.

Congratulations on having your ADSL cable connection back again @nanixxx friend!... Wow, it took them a long time to repair it... You'd think our own cable guys were working there! hahaha :))... Beautiful photos, I loved that first portrait, it's so eloquent... It hurt me to see that bird without a leg, it's hard for me to process the pain and misfortune of animals, gosh... Thanks for sharing!...

I will take the appearance and installation of this cable as a gift from the Universe for my third anniversary at Hive, which was 22 September! But you already know this because you were one of those dear people who congratulated me. Thank you, thank you very much. āœØšŸ˜‡

Yes, šŸ˜” I too find it hard to process animal suffering. But coolmidwestguy here made a very good point:

If I a bird can bounce back with such resiliency we as humans should to despite our setbacks.

It's great that you have your connection back!
Four months is quite a long time, but it reminded me that a few years ago, when the crisis was at its worst here in my country, there was a national blackout and the card in the telephone exchange (the state-owned company) that provided Internet service to me and a few others was damaged. And do you know how long it took them to replace it? Three years! Hahaha, we got tired of complaining... And of course, all that time we used our cell phone data (private company), which was much more expensive, to be able to work, connect, etc.

These photos are so beautiful! I was moved by the one-legged bird... I hope everything works out for you!

That is why one should not complain.... There is always someone worse. Besides, I know that nothing happens for the sake of it... It's all part of a big plan. But we don't see it at the moment. Time must pass and we must look back and put the big puzzle together.
I am learning, Sofia, to listen to my inner voice. I am very happy because I am taking steps in that direction.

”Gracias!

Y el pÔjaro con una sola pata...no era el único así allí. Pobres seres, pero así es la vida. Al menos estÔn vivos y pueden volar.
