Rescue
Sometimes when I look at my photos from many years ago, I feel I had much more passion—or that I saw more, and saw better… not in the literal sense of seeing, but of truly observing.

2014

2015
I have a bunch of photos from those years, “almost lost,” and I don’t really know when I’ll have the chance to rescue them. I found these on a drive, and I want to keep them here on my blog.

Stages... that's all they are. Doesn’t it ever happen to you—that feeling that somewhere along the way, you've lost a part of yourself, and you’d like to get it back?

This one, for instance, I took when Karl Lagerfeld came to Cuba. A year later, he died.
2018

I used to get lost in the streets of Havana and talk to people. Now, perhaps, I’m a bit of a hermit.

It took a long time to restore our Capitol. I like having this photo because it reminds me how much things can improve.

Such a powerful and touching post—“Rescue” truly captures compassion in action. 💙
Thank you. 🙂
I love all of your photos. It's hard to choose just one, but I think I really like the one with the old lady in pink on the street, and the one with someone running by. Beautiful!
I agree with your comment. Yeah, when we look back at our past art, we definitely feel our original passion again.
In some way, it sparked something, thanks! Glad you think my photos are good! 😊
Maybe it's more just a general change and growth in the things you know you want to shoot now? A change in the types of stories you want to tell? I find that has happened with me over the years, I still shoot similar things, but I have also noticed a lot of changes in what I shoot and how I now shoot things I otherwise wouldn't back then.
This could be a result of that changing interest too, but it doesn't mean it's a bad thing if you're pursuing what is more appealing to you now ;^)

You’ve got me thinking… thank you. I know that by looking at these photos closely today, something may have shifted within me, something hidden has risen to the surface.
Life passed, stages that are lost and of course, I also have stages and parts of me that I lost and I want to recover them, but I don't know how...
the good thing is, we are not alone, there is always someone who feels the same and that makes us feel in company, feel the same and I hope you can find those little pieces of you that were left somewhere along the path of your life 🦉❤️
We’ll find a way... if it’s something we truly want, it’ll show itself one way or another.
😉
Un abrazo y gracias.
Gracias amigos de Visualshots. Un saludo especial para usted @jlinaresp. 😄
Hi @nanixxx, I'll be honest: I like the work you're doing now, and I like these photographs. I love the one from 2012, the one from the cultural event. You're a very good observer... even if you doubt it now.
A big hug.
And you’re always so kind to me... thank you for this and for everything.
A hug!
Buenos días... @nanixxx.
What you're talking about is called change. You're not the same person, that's all. When you change your perspective, what you focus your attention on changes too. These are wonderful photos, but they're not of the Nani I know. The Nani I know now focuses more on nature, I think...
But the first image from 2016... wow, without looking closely, I saw a ghost! It's fabulous!!!
I always say you're an excellent photographer! Don't forget that!
You make me blush. Thank you... well, I have changed quite a lot. And I’ve also had many disappointments…
That is precisely what you learn from, and that is what brings about change...
Great Shots, amazing

Awwww... thank you, @goga22. Glad you like them.
¡Me encantaron! Ver nuestra mirada de hace tiempo a veces es hasta sorpresivo, ¡sigue rebuscando en esos archivos! 😃
Es que el disco duro está roto. Y no encuentro quién pueda salvarlo. 😢
¡Alguien aparecerá! 🙂🍀
Wow, tremendas fotografías, me encantaron todas, ¡Están para una expo en verdad! 👍
Jaja... vaya, sí que te gustaron. 😄 ¡Andaaa se fue la luz! 😥
