RE: October and women, art close to them.

Ever since I read your post and looked at the photos, I felt a tightness in my chest and tears came to my eyes. Years ago, a close friend of mine died from this… she fought hard, was brave, but in the end cancer took her far too young. I find it deeply compelling, what you point out about the emotional implications behind each illness—especially this one. It’s something that has always drawn my attention.

I believe every piece carries great strength and intensity, as you rightly note, and they are essential in offering support through art, through poetry, through the simple yet profound gesture of one hand resting on another and a gaze that embraces. I hold on to the first light that emanates from each work. The one that makes us all shine and understand…

All the women I have known who had this illness had serious problems with their children, and very few with their husbands, but it was a common factor in all of them and coincided with what I had studied. It is important for women to assert themselves, know their worth, and be able to channel problems so that they do not affect their bodies. It is not easy.

Thank you for your comment, it is beautiful!
