Pastel (a good?) colour for Yamaha

What does a photographer do if she gets bored of taking pictures at a colloquium?

I'll show you at some point. ๐Ÿ˜

But let's see how my day (yesterday) progressed from the moment I went out to the 100th Avenue, to wait for the car that would take me to the Pabexpo fairgrounds.

{8:28 AM}

_1340988.JPG

If I had to walk to find a taxi to go to Old Havana or to my work, it would be in that direction. Many times I don't like walking there because it gets lonely and dangerous, but in the mornings, when there are more people, it is enjoyable, with the warmth of the sun on my face. Anyway, I was glad they came to pick me up this morning.

What scene could be seen behind my back? - Without hesitation, I took the picture. I was waiting, better make the most of the time.

_1340991.JPG

And in front of me? at the site of buses, trucks and cars that go to Pinar del Rรญo?

_1340998.JPG
The coffee seller

This is a good time for her business. Many people will stop by for a cup of coffee if they didn't have any at home or if they couldn't get a cup of coffee in a hurry.

Ok. The car arrives... in less than 20 minutes we'll be there and I'll focus on taking some photos of details at the press media stands.

_1340949.JPG
_1340951.JPG
_1340945.JPG

Later, photos of the panels, as well as the interviewees of the young, recently graduated journalist who is accompanying me.

She reminds me of my early days as a journalist. She has that look and drive that evolves over time...

I went to China for a moment.

_1340937.JPG

_1340953.JPG

The Al Mayadeen television channel, based in Beirut, Lebanon, had a stand at this event and offered visitors the possibility of seeing what is happening in Palestine through augmented reality.

(Images very difficult to process) ๐Ÿ˜ž

_1340965.JPG
_1340966.JPG

While I'm active I don't get bored, it's just that I'm a little hyperkinetic. If I have nothing to do, I'll walk around until I'm useful again.

_1340954.JPG
Then I find a curtain of threads.

Or perhaps some of the conferences caught my attention, such as this one:

{9:48 AM}

_1350016.JPG

It was about photography in the press, from analog photography to today when many images that circulate in the media are manipulated and even created with AI.

Anyone can be deceived in this way. It's concerning how discourses are constructed that have nothing to do with the truth.

_1350018.JPG

They mentioned the case of Pete Souza link, for example, who did great work as Barack Obama's photographer while he was president. Other politicians tried to follow this line without much success.

And thus, they also mentioned cases of faked photographs in politics. Check out this article from BBC.

Yes, this conference was interesting.

image.png

Work... that I haven't finished. ๐Ÿ˜

But I promised you the Yamaha thing and I haven't forgotten about it yet.

It turns out that on the last day, they always plan a closing ceremony with a cultural activity. And this gentleman was in the conference room.

{11:08 AM}

_1350031.JPG

This is a great antidote to boredom... the distorted reality.

_1350032.JPG

One thing that photojournalists have in common is sometimes lying on the floor.

_1350041.JPG

_1350038.JPG

Should I write a poem... or something? ๐Ÿ˜œ

_1350042.JPG

_1350039.JPG

Anyway he was bored, waiting, and so was I.

I don't know, I have no idea, who was the pianist who played it.

_1350043.JPG

I had to leave before the closing because I got sick. Something I ate made me nauseous and vomit. Now I feel better. Maybe that's why the pastel colour.

_1350037.JPG

And that's how my work day went.

Lots of information to process at breakfast ๐Ÿค”, Palestine, BBC (which I don't trust), disinformation, censorship, I think Telesur is now banned in the EU..., I hope you are already in good health. Big hug @nanixxx

They also mentioned the case of the photos of the Pope at a party (oh, what a party!) ๐Ÿ˜… that circulated on the Internet.

๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€ I am a press photographer, I have to document the events they send me to.

(me siento ๐Ÿ˜’ mรกs o menos... mejor)

Big hug.

I hope you soon recover completely, I think in a while, as soon as I have time I look for the photos of the Pope, a hug.

i would say "you don't have a job", you have a "hobby that pays you a salary", when you are doing something you love it is not work ( that is how I saw my work life).
Sorry about you having an upchuck, guess it spoilt the day. Love those early morning shots

From the title I thought we were going to see a motorcycle. But it's a laughing Yamahahaha digital piano ๐Ÿ˜‚ with an invisible pianist ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I hope you get better soon.

Literally the same ๐Ÿ˜‚ plus I made it in my head as pastel pink one!

This Yamaha is also capable of giving you a motorbike ride. All it needs is the skill of an invisible pianist.

๐Ÿ˜…

I hope you are feeling better and that you have tried oregano. Don't forget the lemon, the honey, the ginger, I forgot how good it is!

I'll pass that to maestro @mipiano ๐Ÿ˜‚ npt the best Yamaha driver!

Unfortunately I am still struggling, it's reminds of Covid attack, short breath, lungs, long coughing... I tried oregano tea, once, it's so intense ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Yes, Covid is at it again, it seems. A lot of people here have this terrible cold, and they say they feel very bad, that it is very strong.
If this is the case, the thing to do is to drink teas three or four times a day, and a lot of water. The teas, make them with everything. Oregano, ginger, lemon, honey. Take vitamins (C,D). Don't eat fats and sugars... fruits, vegetables, healthy food as much as possible. And rest, lots of rest.

(I'm not a doctor, but that's what I do when I feel sick. I never got the Covid.)

I had it in first wave, terrible feeling this condition reminds a bit of it, but it's waaaay better then when I had it first time.

(you aren't doctor, but you had more advices then any of doc. gave me)

Surrounded with vitamins in all shapes and forms :D, especially D (as I am not often outside).

Thank you!

That's not a bad work day and beats sitting at a desk in an office all day.

Someone told me you have been a little sick earlier today, as you have also mentioned here, and I hope you are feeling better.

I couldn't sit behind a desk all day. When I graduated and started working in a press agency, that's what I had to do: write dispatches for eight hours straight, sitting at a desk. I didn't last long there.

Thanks Becca, there we go, I guess I'll be better today. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

So much activity in a short time!!!

The information.... well, many times there is great censorship or misinformation... and those photographs that circulate, some... are not real.

But the most important thing is boredom.... no not the piano! That's the most beautiful thing, it's a shame no one touched it...

I'm glad you're better!๐Ÿ˜Š

Yes, someone must have played the piano, but I didn't see it because I had to leave because I was feeling sick.

In one way or another disinformation has always been present in society. Governments and politicians manipulate this at will.

Greetings and good afternoon, @avdesing.

Exactly, it has always been present, and lately much more so....

I hope you are doing well right now!๐Ÿค—

I thought you would show a pastel colored Yamaha bike ๐Ÿคฃ. You surprised me with the piano. Despite your discomfort it was an interesting event you covered. A lot of information and very hard realities to process, but that's the way the world is going.

Hope you are doing better.

I thought I could release Mr. Hedgehog today!

But what I have inside my body is like a nightclub with lots of noises and flashing lights. ๐Ÿคฃ

hyperkinetic

It's like a motivational word for me which I am reading for the first time. I think I'm going to use this word in my daily discourse because I am also such person who don't usually get bored and I also do walk whenever I don't have anything to do.

However, you seem so calm and focused, still joking with your friends and on the bike... But it's true, I can look like that too and inside you're in a storm. ๐Ÿ˜‚

You know I always have to borrow cycle for that cycling post ๐Ÿ˜‚. BUT, usually I walk and walk which is often not recorded on hive.

It was a very good event, you got to know part of the hard reality of Palestine, also the opportunity to see colleagues that you haven't seen for a long time and exchange with them. Take care of yourself.๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿค—

Hello... The boss, Patricia Villegas, was there and Rolando Segura was my professor and also part of the Tribunal in my thesis.
Then, when I graduated and went into television, I worked with him for a while.
I appreciate him a lot.

It's a small world... I met Rolando while I was there, although we were in different areas and we didn't have much contact, he is without doubt a good professional.

I love how that article used multiple fake trump (he doesn't get a capital T) arrest photos as their example. Secret excuse for BBC to show more images of him being a buffoon.

This looks like a fascinating conference! I wish I could be a photojournalist. I think...

I just present the facts and it is up to you to think. ๐Ÿ˜…

You can be a photojournalist, you just have to put your mind to it. I don't think it would be that hard for you as talented as you are.

We had hail here yesterday. A hailstorm of great magnitude. It was in the afternoon and although I felt them on my tin roof on the terrace, I didn't go out to check. We have very bad weather and tomorrow I have to go for press coverage to a town called Ceiba del Agua (water). Curious. However, the subject is sporting. Something to do with football.

Do you usually get hail? Call me ignorant but I have trouble imagining Cuba as hailstorm country...

No, it is not normal.
It happens sporadically. And this time it was something extra strong.
