Walking with a stranger

El tiempo es veloz... says a song that I think of, mainly when I remember good times. And not just good times, let's better say “meaningful times” that shaped me, and... yes, they did it well.

I will always be grateful for all that, for everything that made me move forward. I was in a dark room for a long time, overshadowed by everything, and by my own thoughts. But there are beings of light that always wait for us and appear when we need them the most. And look carefully, the wise say that even the bad things that have happened, one should be grateful for. Because everything happens for a reason, which we can always see at some point in our lives.

But I want to emphasize and insist that we must look back to see how much progress we have made. Let us take that quick and deep look at the same time to see how and how much we advanced, if we advanced.

We should not be saddened if we make little progress. This, if so, should give us strength to walk more... and inspiration to move with impetus and strive for what brings us happiness. But look carefully, see if something extraordinary happened in your life that took you - as I said - a step forward, or two, or three, it doesn't matter, but always forward.

You who know me know that I am in love with pedaling. This ride today is not about me and my bike, however, I must make this reminder of what life is all about.

For me. This is a note to myself and if it serves you... well, help yourself to it:

Life is like riding a bicycle. You have to keep moving so you don't lose your balance.

I am paraphrasing something I read recently and I really liked it. If you want you can look it up and tell me in the comments to whom this phrase is attributed.

Now let's talk a little bit about this place and the excursion because it is something I had pending.

Caleta Buena

It was on April 26 when I met for the first time this destination and the next day I shared some pictures. You can see my post here.

_1350776.JPG

I was so happy to have gone on that excursion with my parents and their friends. It was so cool to be there and enjoy that paradise.

The only thing I didn't like and I confess it was that to get there we crushed a lot of crabs. 😣

{link here}

This made me cry. Then I kept thinking about this and felt so helpless...I almost didn't know what to think. It's this kind of moment when you want to hold on to the good thoughts, but the bad ones are there cutting you off and cutting off your breath.

... don't think about it now nanixxx.. solo mira esto.

_1350754.JPG

^respira^

I told myself that every time I had the opportunity, preferably every month, I would go on a trip somewhere in our geography. And I have been fulfilling it. I got out of inaction, I already feel like a dolphin in Hive (but this is another matter... hahaha, we will deal with it shortly 😁) and although there are moments in life that are not very bearable, in general I feel that happiness is something natural in my life and in my day to day life.

_1350952.JPG

There was this road. A very small group, which also included my mother, decided to go see a magical place that was pointed out to us by the workers there.

_1350953.JPG

In the end there were only two of us left in this endeavor. You will see. They simply gave up the search and the one who persisted could not make it because of the uneven ground.

To get to this place...

_1350958.JPG

We had to enter intricate areas. Difficult, with lots of branches and little visibility ahead. You always think about the wild nature that any (unfriendly) animal could be hiding in those corners...

_1350965.JPG

Look... I actually wasn't satisfied with this view. I wanted to go over there where you see that small portion of sand in the top right of the photo.

_1350956.JPG

So, lo and behold, one restless swallow did make it...asking questions as usual. Lucky for me that some do answer them.

(Did I say “swallow”?)

Oh, yes, there where the workers pointed out this place nested swallows and in such a pleasant contentment that I had to take pictures of them too. After all, it was not only a place to watch fish, but also birds.

Wait, let's keep looking for the magical place... just two more pictures of swallows.

😆

_1350870.JPG

Go, go, go pour yourself a glass of something. Or a tea. A coffee... there's still time left here and I suggest you stay until the end. I have wonderful things to show and four-legged friends.

_1350875.JPG

😏 I know they're not great photos, but I had never seen swallow nests before. I think I got nervous.

We had to find help so we wouldn't have to cross this crystal-clear emerald water by flying.

Another glance ;)

_1350980.JPG

Voilà, ya volé. 😄

A stranger wanted to accompany me.

_1350977.JPG

Perhaps someone might find this walk silly to spend only a few minutes contemplating the beauty of this secluded spot. I didn't bathe there, but I plan to, one day when I return.

I breathed, I imagined, I daydreamed. It was enough. I was filled with life and love. I felt very human and connected to the true essence of life, the simple and the beautiful and what is always there to offer us fruit and wisdom. That's me.

_1350994.JPG

The Universe has a nice way of testing us. It always wants to know if we are ready to receive. So that's where we notice a little difficulty. The important thing is not to give up.

_1350995.JPG

I recorded the return. Joaquín Sabina says that you shouldn't try to return to the place where you were happy. I have my doubts.

_1350950.JPG

And he too! 😁

Next week I am going on a trip again. An excursion? Maybe...

this blue water area is really beautiful. It's fruit of your quest for a beautiful spot amidst all these branches and bumpy path.
You gave really beautiful example of life that life is same like cycle where you have to keep balance.
Hugs 🫂 🤗

No me puedo quejar.

What a beautiful landscape, the water with that beautiful blue. I would like to go there. I didn't know there were swallows in Cuba, quite a discovery.

Your photos are great!

No 😁 jajaja.

Your reflections on life's journey and the bicycle metaphor are deeply moving. The story of Caleta Buena and your adventures, including bittersweet moments with crabs and a magical donkey, highlights the small events that shape our lives. Despite the dark moments, your joy in simple experiences, perseverance and gratitude for the important moments and people who helped you show great strength.

I think we need to keep things simple and nature is a good place to recharge and restore our energies. Thanks for reading, @bugavi, and for following me.
