In the forest

Hello fellow cyclists,

I've missed posting in this community. 😉

Today I took a lovely walk through the Monte Barreto Forest in Playa municipality, and of course, I got here by bike.

This is happening right now. I'm right here writing this post... as @bluemoon suggested one day, we can do this too: capture the good vibes instantly and share them.

Right now, I'm also watching many children running around and playing near me, because it seems like they've held an activity for them at the ranch I'm looking at. In fact, when I arrived here, there was an entertainer, and I could hear him on the microphone leading the participation games. It seemed fun and made me smile several times.

We're on summer vacation! And it's always noticeable in many places... By the way, what a great place to enjoy in so many ways... Wait, let me tell you.

When I got here, I went into the forest and started walking along some trails I saw...very carefully, of course. It feels very cool; the vegetation is so dense that the shade and the moisture the ground retains after perhaps a few scattered showers these days are the perfect refuge from the high temperatures of this everlasting summer we have in Cuba.

I wasn't alone. I was accompanied by many birds and butterflies, and the humility of all those trees that invited me to hug them. 😃 I hugged a few, but it didn't occur to me to take a selfie like the one at the beginning of this post.

I soon discovered that other creatures also accompanied me along the way.

Wait, hahaha... so I laid the bike down so I could take the photos that come next.

They are the guardians of the park, and right now I have no idea who sculpted them.

I just know that I'm deeply captivated by finding beauty, and I find this beautiful, even the graffiti someone put there.

Meow! A loving thought goes out to you, my beloved Yin, and an imaginary caress (I can recreate it just by closing my eyes) on your soft fur. I wish you happiness wherever you are right now.

This guard was shot down... I paid homage to him. I almost sat down there in that hollow that looked like a bench... but no. I continued on my way when I heard a very peculiar sound in the distance.

Let me lean the bike here to take the photo, I told myself.

Of course I asked his permission for this and we talked for a while, although very little, since he was practicing and I didn't want to bother him too much.

You see, there are so many things you can do here... musicians rehearse (they can offer concerts), Hivers meetings, return to innocence, photography projects, creative writing contests on-site, hahaha... and bird watching. There are many, believe me.

And well... I'm sure I'll stick with something else. Suggest some activities... let's see how creative you are. Yoga, conscious breathing... enjoying a fresh, natural environment...picnic time!

😅 And I think since I've regained my center today, I'm going to get a malt or ice cream and a sandwich. My stomach is already growling.

Those sculptures, they look like they have a story to tell. If I could speak Spanish, maybe they will talk to me

I was going to ask how your ice cream was, but I see you had a malt. Or did you have both ....🤔

So, you can practice your Spanish now. 😉

Me encantan estos pequeños fragmentos, donde puedo aprender frases al azar. ¡Sigan así!

Gracias!

Hi @nanixxx, what a difficult post! I'm incapable of capturing the vibe of the moment. I love the sculptures; I hope you learn more about them. I also wish Yin all the best.

Keep enjoying your day. Big hugs.

I think I had this information about the sculptures somewhere in my brain, but it got so twisted that I can't find it now, and I haven't wanted to ask Google.

I needed to sit there in that forest for a while, giving up control... At first, I thought about organizing my thoughts, and once I was there, I didn't think about much of anything, just that I feel comfortable in myself and that I wish I could walk further, that is, go deeper, alone, through that forest without worrying about being attacked. Hahaha...

You always find precious places in Havana, that boy who practices his saxophone lessons 🎷 There he looks free and does not bother the neighbors. Again and again you return to Monte Barreto and recreate us with your beautiful photos. In the tranquility of the forest I see that you remember you yen. Think that where he is happy and was happy by your side too ... a daughter kiss. 💋

A quiet spot to sit and reflect, until a saxaphone turns up and spoils the moment LOL

Nice bike ride away from the city.

🤣 nah, It wasn't bothersome... it sounded distant before reaching the musician. And then... I let it be distant again, hahaha. 🎷

If you only knew, the forest is in the city and very close to the sea.

First, my thoughts go out to Yin, with a hug and tenderness.

That park is great. I looked at the path and thought about all the things you mentioned that can be done there. I imagined touching the ground with my feet for a long time to fill my body with energy.

How wonderful to practise music there!

I loved the last photos, they are intimate and beautiful!

Thank you. I'm sure he heard us and enjoyed the caresses.

Yes, walking barefoot, lying in the grass. Great. I've played baseball, soccer, badminton, volleyball... and I've played hide-and-seek too.

Hola @nanixxx!
What a lovely place! I love the wooded paths. I love those sculptures that seem a bit mysterious to me, and I would love to know the story of how they got there. And the chance meeting with the boy who plays the saxophone. A great walk! I hope you enjoyed your malta and snacks, hehe.
Un abrazo!

Yes, I still need to find out how those sculptures ended up there. They may have even been placed as part of a Havana Art Biennial… I’ll look into it. I lingered for a while, enjoying the park, and then decided to share it from right there. I liked doing that. Immediacy 😂. Thank you, ¡abrazo de vuelta!

But how well that boy plays the saxophone, what sweetness there is in his notes, I loved it 😍

By the way, even the bike took a nap on the grass haha it was so green and beautiful that it couldn't resist 😂

The best company, birds, butterflies, trees, nothing more to ask for 🐦

Yes, she gets tired, the poor thing… and I lay her down and soothe her to sleep. Hahaha.

About the boy, I think when I recorded him without him noticing, he played even better 🎶, but yes, the student does seem to be doing his homework. 😁

(seguramente había búhos pero ellos se camuflan bien entre el follaje) 😇
