I felt a bit off today

I mean… doing what I used to do and what I no longer do: sports photography.

If only a few of those drinks landed here this week… you never know… yesterday I mentioned apples and today, the moment I reached the Velodrome, I was handed one.

Ah, by the way, I took these pictures at the 1st Cyclo-cross Cup ever organised in Havana and possibly in Cuba, and it was held this morning (31 May) at the Reinaldo Paseiro National Velodrome.

I enjoy making photographers visible… 😁

Perhaps he’ll post some of his work in this community soon… if he hasn’t already. I was only watching the competition and took just a few shots… 😏

There was another photographer hiding there… Canon… phew! 😁

Honestly, I really missed taking part in #Monomad, @monochromes, @brumest and @ewkaw.

Today I thought I wouldn’t make it to the competition. I had imagined it all — being there, going back to sports photography, smiling as I downloaded the photos onto my laptop, seeing that I hadn’t lost the touch despite being away from it… and well, many things aren’t as I had imagined.

I was delayed for a long time leaving home due to matters beyond my control, and I didn’t cycle to that place with joy, just to round off the idea somehow. Yet on the way, a little push from an angel made me arrive without trouble and be there, enjoying things as they are, no matter if everything had started off crooked…

Anyway, here I am — happy about it and always grateful. So this is my entry. I don’t have much more to say. 😌
