Máisel López - Instagran Profile.

This Cuban painter has left a beautiful mark on many walls, marks of innocence. Since 2015 he started painting these huge murals and there was a lot of speculation about the identity of the children... he said they were models chosen at random.

I found this one at the Galería de Arte Wifredo Lam, you know, in Marianao. I already told that.

The girl walker was already going with her bags a bit full, taking pictures wasn't so easy like that. I went to see the opening hours of this gallery... and I wanted to know if there were any exhibitions these days.

Yes, there is. This place is open from Tuesday to Saturday and also on Sundays.

Fragmented Gazes / City Dialogue is the title of this group exhibition and it seems that it will only be there this month.

And now I'm going to tell you in black and white, how my fragmented gaze was left.

This is what is behind the Gallery, and it is the Marianao Amphitheatre.

The city is telling me that it can't take any more of such thoughtlessness and neglect.

This venue was inaugurated in 1952 and has a capacity for 3000 people. There it is rotting in solitude. People dump rubbish all around and nobody seems to care.

While I was taking this photo, some men spoke to me. They asked me if I was an inspector.

I plan to make a series of photos of this which I show you below. People on the street selling any number of things... sitting in parks, on pavements, on curbs.

This speaks to desperation.

I saw no way to enter the amphitheatre... so I took the pictures from outside, slipping my hands through the bars.

I asked myself when I was there, why so much idleness? No one has an idea for this art site? How are the people going to have emotional wellbeing seeing a place like this, seeing things crumbling around them. Ok, there are many shortages, but nice parks and places like this to feed the soul, can't we have either?

Anyway...

In a few hours we are going to have a blackout in half of Havana due to restorations (I don't get stressed out, I'll just go for a ride on my bike or do some gardening).

I don't know about this, that we will run out of power by 4pm, is fake news or if it is correct... I am writing at 2 am on October 29th. This is my story. I share with you bits and pieces of my life, in case you might be interested.
