A wish fulfilled!
7th of December, Soroa, 6:45 AM
I was on a journey where I felt that time stood still. Yet I understand—it makes sense to feel that way when you are enjoying yourself to the fullest and truly happy. Happy as I was in my teenage years, when my parents, during our holidays, took my sister and me to a rental house in Soroa. It was built of stone, shaped like a castle perched on a mountain peak. I rejoiced in the early mornings, surrounded by dense mist, playing at touching the clouds, as I would say, while spinning with arms wide open and breathing in the chill. It did not matter, even if they warned me I might fall ill. I was there to enjoy it, and also the swimming pool right beside the house—cold as winter’s breath, with an emerald hue.

But this one was a short trip; we arrived on the 6th and returned home just yesterday. Nevertheless, for me it has been one of the best experiences I have lived in recent years and also a dream fulfilled. I had long wanted to go on one of these excursions with Maniweros, and I thought this one (to break the ice) was the ideal choice.

So I got ready very early in the morning to feel the mist again and now to capture it with the lenses of my Panasonic Lumix G10. And I had company.

Rolo saw me step outside and immediately said he wanted to come along to see what I was going to do “in photographic terms” with all that mist. There was no need to persuade Limón, the most renowned maniwero, to join this expedition as well.
😀

Oh, I felt so free, far from any intrusive thoughts or worries, just focused on living that amazing experience... yes, the whole experience, but let's focus on this now.

All the while I was thinking of my friend @jlinaresp, who is a great master of misty landscapes. I first started photographing them with my 14-42mm lens and then switched to the 45-200mm zoom, which is better quality.

Rolo and I walked along that road for just under an hour. I have, of course, many photos from that time, and in total there are about 500 photos from the two days. So now it's time to work on editing them and selecting the best ones. They'll gradually be uploaded to Hive, as soon as possible.

I didn't have much time to photograph birds... and I even heard unfamiliar calls and they explained what kind of birds they were. That'll have to wait until next time, because yes, I'll be back... it's something I highly recommend not missing.

Once at the farm where we were staying, our hostess gave me a personalized tour, hahaha... and another maniwera accompanied us to a small hill where we laughed a lot while I took some photos of them that I think turned out very nice, and they even acted out a scene from the Titanic.
😂
Mist and the #Monomad Challenge go hand in hand, hahaha... so this is my entry.

It's fun rolling through a foggy day. Full of surprises.
;) and quiet too.
Hi @nanixxx, these photos are truly magical. It's as if the fog reveals a new world. I couldn't choose just one; my favorites are the ones with the palm trees (?).
You know it makes me happy when you're happy.
Warm regards.
Good morning! Yes, the royal palms. It’s astonishing how many of them you see there.
Gracias 😊.
🤗
Very grateful for the support, @brumest and Qurator! 😇
Amazing pictures, I always tell the master that I love his pictures, I'm his fan! But these ones really awaken peace and also inspire to write... you know, I'm in a terrifying community from time to time hahahaha
The fog makes the landscapes mysterious and that's what I like the most... besides the Titanic!
😅
Well, I didn’t feel afraid. It’s true I was accompanied, but that place is very peaceful and everyone knows each other there.
🤣
No!!! Pobres! El gif me hizo matar de la risa🤣
Bueno, si está tranquilo mejor así, igual cuidado!
You've reminded me of my last visit to Soroa two years ago... I need to go back and visit this paradise!
😍 What a wonder that I’ve inspired you to think of that journey… and you’ve not really seen anything yet. This is only the morning mist.
Bird on a wire <3
It's always so moving to see what you do "in photographic terms" ;) Because you have such a wonderful eye and imagination, my friend.
