My first post of the year, and my mind has already begun doing what it does best — tangling everything up. 😁
Where do I begin?
Perhaps it’s best to begin with the words I didn’t say before 2025 ended, and the ones I won’t say now.
Which words are those?
They’re held within a silence that burns away every doubt and leaves intuition at the helm. So this post is dedicated to all those who accompany me for the better, whether through their words or their thoughts.
Happy New Year. I’d missed being around here.
I took these photos at the reservoir behind my father’s house, in a small village in Pinar del Río. I was over there from 30 December until today, when I returned to my home in Havana.

Good afternoon… I don’t know, really — new beginnings are so hard, and you end up writing and deleting, writing and deleting, hahaha… so just imagine, it gets quite complicated. Until my heart finally told me not to say anything at all.
Yes, it’s a pelican. The camera and the photographer did everything within their reach…

In the silences and those unfinished words there is always a lot, but there will always be an energy that knows them, one's own. And these photographs transmit that calm, patience and waiting to be able to capture unique moments, the sun among the clouds, a bird in full flight or perhaps diving for a fish in the water. The rays of light between the leaves or perhaps that sigh that intertwines with life and time.
In the photographs there is life, thoughts, hope but above all a lot of light, where yellow prevails, which is the wisdom of the soul. That which guides or should guide our being. Very happy new year, may that light accompany you along the way. Hug!

Wow, the scenery is gorgeous, the colors, everything is so beautiful, my friend, and even a pelican fishing, amazing!
Well… you know my camera has its limitations, but something was achieved. And I’ve got the memory of that scene which I loved. That pelican was really far away, because that reservoir is enormous.
