Returning to photography-Retomando la fotografía [ENG-ESP]

Greetings to all the HIVE community, I hope you are well. Today I come to tell you how after many years I am taking up photography again. When I started this experience of writing and recording all the activities in which I am involved and that are part of my daily life. It was a challenge for me, since I don't take pictures of anything, I enjoy every moment and that's it, so I found it interesting to start again with photography.

Saludos a toda la comunidad de HIVE, espero que se encuentren bien. Hoy les vengo a relatar como después de muchos años estoy retomando la fotografía. Al iniciar esta experiencia de escribir y registrar, todas las actividades en las que estoy involucrada y que forman parte de mi cotidianidad. Me resultó todo un reto, ya que yo no tomo fotografía de nada, yo disfruto cada momento y ya, así que me pareció bien interesante empezar de nuevo con la fotografía.

It was an activity that I had not done since 2008, when I studied it as part of my Fine Arts degree. And to be honest, at that time I didn't really like this artistic discipline either. Gradually I got the taste, of course at that time the photographic practice was a little more complicated because I learned it was with an analog camera, and I had to be aware of many technical details and did not know the result of the photos I had taken until they were developed. All the photos in this publication were taken when I was studying photography, in fact some of them were taken with an analog camera, and after they were developed and copied I scanned them to have them in digital backup.

Actividad que no hacía desde 2008 que, fue cuando la estudie como parte de la carrera de Artes Plásticas. Y para ser sincera en aquel entonces tampoco me gustaba mucho esta disciplina artística. Poco a poco le fui agarrando el gusto, claro en ese momento la práctica fotográfica era un poco más complicado ya que yo aprendí fue con una cámara analógica, y tenia que estar pendiente de muchos detalles técnicos y no sabia el resultado de las fotos que había tomado si no hasta que se revelaran. Todas las fotos de esta publicación fueron tomadas cuando estaba cursando fotografía, de hecho algunas se realizaron con cámara analógica, que después de reveladas y copiadas yo escanee para tenerlas en respaldo digital.

And in this practice I discovered that I like black and white photographs. Since, being in such a basic color harmony, it has no distractors and we focus on the shapes and details of the objects, this makes the composition is enriched achieving greater intimacy. The contrasts between black and white are wider. For me it is easier to convey feelings and emotions through these shades, as we find the simplicity of the image and the message it conveys. I also like to take pictures of objects and textures, and in this type of photos plays a very important role the light, as it helps to highlight the details of the composition.

Another of the characteristics I like about taking black and white photographs is the sense of timelessness it conveys, and gives a broader spectrum of creative interpretation by both the photographer and the viewer.
