Where is summer?

Yet another photography post in which I complain about the weather, I guess. But recently it feels more like autumn than it does spring or summer. Overcast and rainy, cold and damp. Even windy days that make going outside seem like no fun allowed. It has been pretty discouraging lately wanting to get out more and appreciate the nature and take some photographs, but every time I look out of my window, the conditions just aren't there. I have even started to notice that even the nature around doesn't take too kindly to these days. Not only are my houseplants dying slowly from the inconsistent temperatures -- my hands are actually cold as I type this -- but there's less animals to be seen when the weather isn't so nice. I have noticed on days with clear skies and warm weather, there's so much life around. Such a wide range of animals roaming around and making noise. I miss it! There's just something really depressing about waking up in the morning and turning on lights and throwing on additional layers of clothing.

Well, forcing myself out a bit. Some intentions to draw some locations or even scout for some nice watercolour references to do later on once I get back home. Though that is all it really has been at the moment. Just some scouting and nothing really coming from it. I've found a few fun subjects that I took photographs of, even that abandoned building being completely reclaimed by nature is a really fascinating subject to me. Within open fields, but devoured by growths of green. You almost can't really see it unless you are at a certain perspective, like I got with the drone. Though to no surprise, this would've been a much nicer set of photographs if the life below the sun wasn't muted by the clouds. Where's the light?! Where are my summer sunsets?!

Still, with the drone there's some nice perspectives to be seen. There were fields being watered that I wanted to fly to and capture, but the wind just killed my battery, and halfway to the location I realised if I didn't turn back, the drone wouldn't make it back over the river it crossed and I myself could not cross. I can imagine how nice of an image that could've been with the sunlight. Clear blue skies and the water flowing from above into the really tall crops that now occupy the fields. They're very tall now, and I'll be keeping an eye on them for the potential chance that this cursed land might give me one decent day of weather to capture them. I probably won't be getting out more until that happens, it just isn't as fun roaming around the windy and cold fields in which there's very little colour for photography.

One nice day, a week of overcast ones to follow. Then there's the days in which it's overcast until sunset and clears up for about 30 minutes just to make us mad. :^)

It's in Turkey now, man. It'll probably stop by there soon. I can tell you it is really scorching hot here right now. By the way, in the first photo I see the face of a robot lol.

That's exactly what I saw :^)

I might have to stop by there at some point. Feeling the itch to travel and escape this weather and see some actual summer.
