That'd be a good one for staying relatively out of people's way and getting some up close shots of things. Their lenses are also built quite well despite how affordable they can be. 28mm tends to be the general street photography focal length too, nice and wide
The camera and its 16mp sensor are fine, really. Just pay attention to exposure and learn the histogram and you'll get some nice shots out of it. :)

The lens kit right now is too bulky and definitely catches people's attention. I am looking for a 2nd hand lens of that and hoping I could find a sweet deal.
Yeah that's generally why I don't like zooms. They're just a bit too big and/or heavy for me. Doesn't feel very comfortable for quick shooting, especially if you're at an event or something and trying to be a bit less obvious when snapping pictures of people
