A few shots from a short walk

These last few days have been a bit busy. One of the downsides to summer is that pretty much everyone in my family was born within the same three months, making a lot of summer being family oriented and not being able to really stray too far away. Celebrations, meetups, random events, each of these end up occupying a lot of my time. Though out of nowhere the weather has become really nice! 27 degrees as of today and with warmth and sunshine I just couldn't pass up, despite knowing I would have to go somewhere later on in the day. I'm actually typing this just before leaving to out somewhere again! I took a short walk into the fields and tried to capture some fun photographs despite my limited time, and the fact that my batteries hadn't even been fully charged from the day before.

Again, some of that flight anxiety remains. I got a bit cautious of flying over dense trees or close to water, especially at a distance. It wasn't too windy, but there was a breeze that meant flying back could kill off a lot of battery, but I chose to risk it and fly over some areas I don't usually. There's a beautiful river that runs through some farmland; rivers are something I really want to shoot more due to their interesting compositions from above. The way the water runs through land with plenty of twists and turns, all with plenty of green and beautiful wildlife around. Though, I haven't been seeing the usual deer as of late, perhaps it's too hot for them and they are sticking closer to the riverside around the trees where there's also shade.

There's also an annoyingly loud motorway nearby that roars over the hills these days. I figured I'd capture that as some contrast to the river, which in a way is similar to the roads and motorways that now occupy some of the land. These were quite some distance out, but I still wanted to go beyond. Should I be thankful for finding my drone the other day, or perhaps a little annoyed that I no longer have an excuse to purchase an updated model with better battery life? The human mind is never satisfied, is it?
