Snow in Pitões das Júnias - Portugal

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well ☺️ Today I'm going to tell you about my experience of seeing snow. It was the second time I've seen snow, and this time it was the first time I've seen snow falling. The other time I saw it was last year in this same place, because here in Portugal it only snows in the highest points of the country. We came to Pitões because last year it was incredible. A very welcoming village where everyone knows each other and lives in community.

We were still arriving at the village and we could already see snow everywhere. Last year it wasn't like this; last year it was sunny and all the snow had already melted. This year I saw a lot of snow. The landscape was beautiful, so I wanted to take tons of photos to keep as a memory ☺️ and I didn't even know it was going to get even more incredible.

Still on the road, getting closer and closer, the snow continued to cover the houses and everything else in white. It was very cold, but we wanted to enjoy the moment. We were very well prepared for the cold ❄️

We were almost at Pitoes, the snow already covered everything around us. It was really very cold, but the landscape made up for all of that.

We went with a baby and unfortunately we couldn't enjoy everything as we had planned. I never thought it would be like this, so it was much more complicated. It was very windy and she cried a little, but it was well-equipped, which was good so she wouldn't get sick, and neither would we. We wanted to stay longer and walk around a bit; we spent quite a bit of time in the car, but we managed to enjoy that wonderful scenery. We were enchanted; it looked like a movie set.

Unfortunately, we also couldn't reach the center of Pitões due to the weather; many cars got stuck in the snow, so we decided not to risk going there. We were a little sad that we couldn't see everything, but it was better this way. We made a 2-hour trip from home to there.

Despite everything, it was an incredible experience with incredible company. Collecting memories with the most special people in our lives is the best thing in the world; love can't be bought with money, and I will undoubtedly keep this day forever in my heart.

We had a great time, took lots of photos, and talked – it was an amazing day. I definitely want to go back. We should always return to places where we were happy, right? Big hugs to all of you!

Olá a todos, espero que estejam bem ☺️ Hoje vou contar-vos a minha experiência de ver neve. Foi a segunda vez que vi neve, e desta vez foi a primeira vez que vi neve a cair. A outra vez que vi foi no ano passado, neste mesmo local, porque aqui em Portugal só neva nos pontos mais altos do país. Viemos a Pitões porque no ano passado foi incrível. Uma aldeia muito acolhedora onde todos se conhecem e vivem em comunidade.

Ainda estávamos chegando à vila e já dava para ver neve por toda parte. No ano passado não foi assim; no ano passado estava ensolarado e toda a neve já tinha derretido. Este ano vi muita neve. A paisagem estava linda, então quis tirar muitas fotos para guardar de lembrança ☺️ e nem imaginava que ia ficar ainda mais incrível.

Ainda na estrada, cada vez mais perto, a neve continuava a cobrir as casas e tudo o mais de branco. Estava muito frio, mas queríamos aproveitar o momento. Estávamos muito bem preparados para o frio ❄️

Estávamos quase em Pitoes, a neve já cobria tudo ao nosso redor. Estava muito frio, mas a paisagem compensava tudo.

Fomos com um bebê e, infelizmente, não conseguimos aproveitar tudo como havíamos planejado. Nunca imaginei que seria assim, então foi bem mais complicado. Estava muito ventoso e ela chorou um pouco, mas o local era bem equipado, o que foi ótimo para que ela não ficasse enjoada, e nós também não. Queríamos ficar mais tempo e passear um pouco; passamos bastante tempo no carro, mas conseguimos apreciar a paisagem maravilhosa. Ficamos encantados; parecia cenário de filme.

Infelizmente, também não conseguimos chegar ao centro de Pitões devido ao tempo; muitos carros ficaram atolados na neve, então decidimos não arriscar. Ficamos um pouco tristes por não termos conseguido ver tudo, mas foi melhor assim. Fizemos uma viagem de duas horas de casa até lá.

Apesar de tudo, foi uma experiência incrível com uma companhia incrível. Colecionar memórias com as pessoas mais especiais das nossas vidas é a melhor coisa do mundo; o amor não se compra com dinheiro, e sem dúvida guardarei este dia para sempre no meu coração.

Nos divertimos muito, tiramos muitas fotos e conversamos bastante – foi um dia incrível. Com certeza quero voltar. Devemos sempre retornar aos lugares onde fomos felizes, não é? Um grande abraço para todos vocês!
