Importance of children working with their parents

Hello everyone, I never send work for them to do at home with their parents. But as we are working on the hedgehog and the magusto is almost here, it's already Friday, November 11th, I sent an email to the parents to see if they could also do a work on the ourico cacheiro. Some made a drawing, others made a hedgehog with plasticine and toothpicks, others made it on the computer. The jobs were super cool 😀

Actively participating in school activities proves to the child that parents care and are interested in everything that concerns them.

For the child to be successful in school and to grow up aware of his or her worth and the personal effort it requires, parents/educators have to be actively involved in the child's learning process.

Family and school are an integral part of a child's life. Keeping a common thread and balance between the two spaces is healthy and vital for the child. It conveys trust, creates a climate conducive to sharing experiences and gives security.

Establishing, together with the child, a healthy study routine helps them to clarify doubts, do their homework successfully and become interested in subjects that are not covered in the classroom.

Create healthy study routines Dedicating time and defining a daily work plan together is fundamental for parents and children. Create a routine. Children need discipline to grow.

• Choose a specific place in the house to study, quiet, airy and with good lighting.
• Clear your head of worries, turn off the television, cell phone and anything that can interfere with your concentration.
• Study time must be dedicated exclusively to study.

The study routine helps the child to clarify doubts, to do homework successfully and to be interested in subjects that are not covered in the classroom. Searching for information, exchanging ideas with parents, learning to do the same thing differently, encourages the child to want to know more and gives him a great sense of
accomplishment.

The study routine helps parents to understand what and how the subject is being taught, whether or not the curriculum is being fulfilled and the child's learning difficulties.

This awareness allows parents to truly get involved with school life, to recognize warning signs and to convey to teachers the real difficulties (or anxieties and fears) felt by the child.
The proximity between parents and teachers makes it possible to define a joint strategy to help the child overcome difficulties (learning, socialization or others) with success and optimism. For parents it is also a way to obtain information about what they can do at home to contribute to their children's academic success.
