Hello everyone, for those who don't know, I work with 4 and 5 year olds in a kindergarten. Today was the day to celebrate carnival at our school. Today we did a lot, but today I'm going to show you the fantastic costumes ❤️

Parents this year have worked really hard and been VERY creative ☺️ I really enjoyed today and getting to the end of the day and they say this was a really cool day makes me really happy, I feel like my work is valuable for these kids and these parents.

They were tired of asking me when Carnival was, I told them but the next day they were already asking me about November, the kids are very anxious 😅 and they were always asking the parents, who the parents said that as soon as they left school they asked tomorrow is it already carnival? 😅

Carnival at school is a much-awaited date for students, because in addition to being an artistic and cultural manifestation, it is a time of fun for them. Therefore, it is important to develop festive activities that encourage student participation and creativity.

Carnival in the classroom:
Encourage curiosity
Take advantage of the theme to awaken the students' critical sense. Much more than a commemorative date, carnival is a very important historical expression and cultural event in the history of Brazil. Raise questions so that students see the cultural value of the celebration.

Many educational institutions take advantage of this time to organize recreational activities related to the theme in order to entertain students in the most fun, informative ways, and of course, with sprinkles of glitter and streamers everywhere.

What's your carnival costume? As we have already said, Carnival is a famous date where people of all ages can dress up and assume various characters. Therefore, it is important that the school sets an example. Encourage teachers and other employees to get into this carnival atmosphere, even if they only use a few accessories.

We understand that costumes are expensive and many families don't have the conditions to invest, but a great way to interact and get in the mood for little money is to wear super colorful clothes with makeup and props. That way, no one is left out of the fun.

A really cool tip is for the school to organize a mini party in the leisure patio, with carnival marches, all dressed up, props, colors and lots of fun. For this item, it is recommended to separate classes into shifts, avoiding large crowds between students, teachers and other employees.

This year all the teachers at the school dressed up as Indians, crowns all the same and we also made the same ones for the children to wear on the second occasion. Today they come masked with what they wanted and on Monday the children and teachers will be alike.

Today too, very important, we played outside a lot, which they love 😀 It was a really hot day

Some benefits of playing outdoors:

  • Take care of mental health
Contact with nature is rich in stimuli for the child and there are many studies that show that it decreases the aptitude for attention deficit or hyperactivity disorders, as well as states of anxiety or depression

  • Take care of physical health In addition to more active children, playing strengthens the immune system and, therefore, the body will gain greater resistance to diseases.

  • Increases the sense of community and respect for nature and public space
Playing outdoors reinforces the feeling of belonging and encourages the creation of bonds between people, enhancing the more active participation of each one in the community of which they are a part. Furthermore, playing outdoors enhances children's understanding of nature and, therefore, they tend to respect it.

  • Develops skills such as confidence, resilience and creativity adaptability and resilience are some of the skills enhanced in free play outdoors. Why guarantee the child time to play outdoors? Because it enhances experiences and gives you tools to deal with unexpected situations in the future.

I hope you liked it, see you soon friends 😀

I love reading about people who love their jobs, especially those who work with children, because they show great love for them, patience, empathy and that makes me feel that there are still good people in the world. Congratulations!
