Portraits of cats and their gazes [Eng/Esp]

Since I started taking photographs, what I enjoy most is portraiture, but I try not to limit myself to portraits of people; I also try to take portraits of animals, especially cats or dogs, which tend to be the calmest at certain times and usually stay still if they are focused on something. So today, I'm sharing some portraits I took of two cats who like to spend a lot of time at my house. I hope you enjoy them.

Desde que hago fotografías, lo que más me gusta hacer son los retratos, pero intento no quedarme solo con los retratos de personas; también busco hacer retratos a los animales, en especial a los gatos o perros, que suelen ser los más tranquilos en ciertas ocasiones y que suelen quedarse quietos si tienen su atención en algo. Por ello, el día de hoy les comparto algunos retratos que hice a dos gatos a los que les gusta pasar mucho tiempo en mi casa; espero que los disfruten.

I've been quite lucky with cats when taking photographs. Most of the time, they stay still or like to pose looking to the sides, but often they keep their gaze fixed on me, obviously because I have the camera in front of them. This makes the portraits more striking; their gazes convey so much without needing anything else. Sometimes they convey curiosity, other times annoyance, tiredness, or boredom, but just like with people, their gazes always manage to captivate in some way.

He llegado a tener cierta suerte con los gatos al momento de hacer fotografías, en la mayoría de ocasiones siempre se quedan quietos o les gusta modelar viendo a los lados, pero en muchas ocasiones mantienen su mirada fijada en mí, evidentemente tengo la cámara delante, por lo que de esta manera los retratos son más llamativos, sus miradas logran transmitir mucho sin necesidad de nada más, algunas veces transmiten curiosidad, otras veces molestia, cansancio o aburrimiento, pero al igual que con las personas, las miradas siempre logran cautivar de alguna manera.
