Photo shoot before my friend's graduation mass [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, dear friends of the community, I hope you are all having a great day. I, for one, am doing quite well and hope you are too. I hadn't done any serious photo shoots in a few months. I mean, I often do shoots with friends just for fun, but my friend Mariale asked me if I would be busy one day. She wanted me to take some pictures of her before she went to her graduation mass, which I agreed to. I always enjoy taking pictures with her.

When the day arrived, we had to leave relatively early, as agreed, and we only had about an hour to take these photographs. The truth is that we didn't have a specific location in mind, because we had to be close to the church where the mass would be held, so we couldn't just make something up and go too far away looking for a place that suited us. That's why we went to a place where many photographers, myself included, have done many photo shoots.

Saludos, queridos amigos de la comunidad, espero que todos estén teniendo un excelente día. Yo, por mi parte, estoy bastante bien y espero que ustedes también lo estén. Tenía algunos meses que no hacía sesiones de fotos de manera seria, quiero decir, muchas veces hago sesiones con amigos para divertirnos un rato, pero mi amiga Mariale me preguntó si estaría ocupado un día, quería que le hiciera algunas fotografías antes de ir a su misa de grado, a lo cual yo acepté, siempre disfruto de hacer fotos con ella.

Llegado el día, tuvimos que irnos relativamente temprano, según el tiempo acordado, solo teníamos una hora más o menos para hacer estas fotografías. La verdad es que no teníamos un lugar en específico, porque teníamos que estar cerca de la iglesia donde se llevaría a cabo su misa, entonces no podíamos inventar y alejarnos tanto buscando algún lugar que nos convenciera, por lo que nos fuimos a un lugar en el cual muchos fotógrafos, me incluyo en ellos, han hecho muchas sesiones de fotos.

When we arrived at the site, we got down to work, but we were surprised to find that one area was undergoing renovation, and another area was crowded with people, since it is a public space. So we had to find a spot with plenty of sunlight and some nearby tables. The first photographs were test shots, trying to find some interesting angles and thinking about what backgrounds would work well for the photos. We spent a couple of minutes practicing, and then everything started to happen much more spontaneously and quickly.

When I do a session with Mariale, we always have a lot to talk about. We've known each other for several years now, so we always have silly things to say and have fun in the process, which I personally think is the most important part of a photo shoot, because having fun makes any activity you're doing more enjoyable and leaves you with a good feeling when you're done.

Cuando llegamos al sitio nos pusimos manos a la obra, pero nos llevamos con la sorpresa de que una zona estaba en remodelación, en otra había muchas personas, ya que es un espacio público, por lo que nos tuvimos que ubicar en un lugar con bastante sol y unas mesitas cercanas, las primeras fotografías fueron de prueba, intentando encontrar algunos ángulos interesantes, pensar qué fondos nos vendrían bien para las fotos y así estuvimos por un par de minutos en práctica, luego todo se fue dando mucho más espontáneo y rápido.

Cuando hago una sesión junto a Mariale siempre tenemos mucho de qué hablar, ya son varios años desde que nos conocemos, por lo cual siempre tenemos tonterías para decir y nos divertimos en el proceso, lo cual personalmente me parece la parte más importante de una sesión de fotos, porque divertirse hace que cualquier actividad que estés realizando sea más llevadera y te deje con un buen sabor de boca al terminar.

The place looked quite office-like, so to speak, and this suited us perfectly because the outfit Mariale was wearing (which she made herself for her graduation mass) fit in very well, and the poses she struck for the photos made her stand out even more, giving her a touch that undoubtedly made her look great in the final photographs.

Between conversations, we moved around the same place. Some spots weren't as nice as we thought they would be, but they worked for some photos. When we realized that our time was up, we had taken many photos, and after finishing, we headed to the church because Mariale's family was there. When we arrived, I took the opportunity to take some family photos as well, since I had already taken some photos of her alone, it wouldn't be a bad idea to do the same with her loved ones.

El lugar se veía bastante estilo de oficina por llamarle de alguna manera y esto nos veía a la perfección porque la ropa que tenía Mariale (la cual hizo ella misma para su misa de grado) encajaba muy bien, además de las poses que adoptaba para las fotos la hacía destacar más, dando así un toque que sin duda la hizo lucir genial en el resultado final de las fotografías.

Entre charla y charla nos estuvimos moviendo dentro del mismo sitio, algunos lugares no eran tan bonitos como pensábamos, pero nos servían para algunas fotografías. Cuando nos dimos cuenta ya había pasado la hora que teníamos, hicimos muchas fotografías y luego de terminar nos dirigimos a la iglesia porque allí se encontraba la familia de Mariale. Cuando llegamos aproveché de hacerles algunas fotografías familiares también, ya que, si ya le había hecho unas fotos en solitario, no estaría mal hacerlo también con sus seres queridos.

This photo shoot has sentimental value for me because, as I said before, I have known Mariale for several years and I know how hard it has been for her to graduate due to various difficulties. Seeing her finally achieve one of her goals makes me very happy. I would say that this is one of the valuable things about friendship and surrounding yourself with people you love: being happy when you see that they are happy too. I hope she continues to achieve her goals.

Esta sesión de fotos tiene un valor sentimental para mí, ya que, como dije antes, conozco a Mariale desde varios años y sé cuánto le ha costado el poder graduarse por distintos inconvenientes y ver que ya por fin está cumpliendo una de las metas que se ha propuesto me hace bastante feliz, diría que esa es una de las cosas valiosas que tiene la amistad y el rodearte de gente que quieres, el ser feliz cuando ves que ellos también lo están siendo, por lo que espero que siga cumpliendo sus metas.
