Monomad: Winter flower [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

A couple of weeks ago I had started a project of making creative photographs to represent certain phrases of songs, it is something that I abandoned a few days later for not feeling so motivated, but I was left with some photographs that I really liked a lot and I want to share with you today.

Hace un par de semanas había empezado un proyecto de hacer fotografías creativas para representar ciertas frases de canciones, es algo que abandoné a los pocos días por no sentirme tan motivado, pero me quedé con algunas fotografías que realmente me gustaron mucho y les quiero compartir el día de hoy.

The phrase I wanted to represent in these photographs was “Make my winters your summer”, which undoubtedly is a kind of contradiction and that is exactly why these photographs represent something complicated, to see a small frozen flower, a very curious meaning to appreciate the truth and that I certainly liked the way I used a small ray of light filtering through the door.

La frase que quise representar en estas fotografías era “Haz de mis inviernos tu verano”, lo cual sin duda es una especie de contradicción y justo por eso es que estas fotografías representan algo complicado, ver una pequeña flor congelada, un significado muy curioso de apreciar la verdad y que sin duda me gustó mucho por la manera en que utilicé un pequeño rayo de luz que se filtraba por la puerta.

I felt that black and white was the most appropriate for these photographs. I think it looks even more striking and impressive to see how the light slightly illuminates the ice cube with the flower inside. I took a lot of pictures because I was clearly looking for the perfect picture to represent the phrase I mentioned before, but without a doubt I liked many of them enough to share them here.

Me pareció que lo más indicado para estas fotografías era el blanco y negro. Considero que se ve incluso más llamativo e impactante el apreciar cómo la luz ilumina levemente el cubo de hielo con la flor dentro. Hice muchas fotografías porque claramente estaba buscando la fotografía perfecta que representara la frase que les mencioné antes, pero sin duda muchas fotografías me gustaron bastante como para compartirlas por aquí.
