Monomad: The Perseverance of Skateboarding [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Greetings, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography; I hope you’re having a wonderful Saturday and feeling great today. I’m sharing some photos of moments I thought were worth capturing while I was at the skatepark; I hope you enjoy them.

Saludos, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro; espero que tengan un estupendo sábado y se encuentren genial el día de hoy. Les comparto algunas fotografías de momentos que me parecieron buenos de capturar mientras me encontraba en el skatepark; espero que las disfruten.

Watching these kids is definitely the best way to see how consistency is the key to learning or improving at something, because they repeat the tricks over and over again even when they get them right, since they know they can do better or try something different to get a better result, and that’s really impressive to watch.

La idea de ver cómo la constancia es la mejor manera de aprender o mejorar en las cosas sin duda es viendo a estos muchachos, porque repiten los trucos una y otra vez, incluso saliendo bien, porque saben que pueden mejorar o que pueden hacer algo distinto para un mejor resultado y eso es algo muy llamativo de ver.

I focus a lot on those I’ve seen consistently practicing over and over again, and I know that they’re usually the ones who stand out the most, precisely because of the consistency with which they do things. I think it’s a good way to motivate yourself, seeing someone else get motivated by what they do.

Me centro mucho en aquellos que he visto constantemente practicar una y otra vez, además de saber que normalmente suelen ser los que más destacan, justo por esa constancia con la que hacen las cosas. Creo que es una buena forma de motivarse, ver a alguien motivándose por sus cosas.
