Monomad: Sunday butterflies [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Whenever I go out into my backyard, I take a quick look at the flowers and plants to see if there are any butterflies or insects I can photograph. Most of the time it's butterflies, but I can't always take pictures of them; sometimes they fly away while I'm looking for my camera, and other times, luckily, they stay around for a while. Today I'm sharing some of my photos with you.

Siempre que salgo al patio de mi casa, inspecciono un poco las flores y plantas para saber si hay alguna mariposa o insecto al que pueda hacer algunas fotografías. En la mayoría de ocasiones son mariposas, pero no siempre puedo hacerles fotos; a veces se van mientras busco mi cámara y en otras, por suerte, sí se quedan un rato. Hoy les comparto algunas fotografías.

Although one of the characteristics of butterflies is the wide variety of colors they can have, I would say that their patterns are always interesting to look at. That's why when I convert these photographs to black and white, their beauty remains; even without color, the patterns continue to be the focus of attention because of the contrast they create.

Aunque una de las características de las mariposas es su gran cantidad de colores tan diferentes que pueden tener, diría que sus patrones siempre son interesantes de ver. Por eso cuando llevo estas fotografías a blanco y negro, se mantiene esa belleza; da igual que no tengan color, los patrones siguen siendo foco de atención por el contraste que forman.

Personally, I have always liked butterflies; the wide variety that exists and their concept of transforming from caterpillar to butterfly has always been an interesting story to learn about. I suppose it is life's way of letting us know that things can always change, and I think that is why I like them so much.

Personalmente, siempre me han gustado las mariposas; la gran variedad que existen y su concepto de pasar de oruga a mariposa siempre ha sido una historia interesante de conocer. Supongo que es la forma que tiene la vida de saber que siempre las cosas pueden cambiar y creo que de ahí el que me gusten tanto.
