Monomad: Street scenes between light and shadow [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy start to the week, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography. How are you all doing today? I’m doing well, and I hope you are too. I’m sharing some photos I took on the streets, making the most of the light, the shadows, and the spontaneous subjects; I hope you enjoy them.

Feliz inicio de semana, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro. ¿Cómo se encuentran el día de hoy? Yo estoy bien y espero que ustedes también lo estén. Les comparto fotografías que he hecho en las calles aprovechando la luz, las sombras y a los protagonistas espontáneos; espero que las disfruten.

This is something I’ve mentioned before, but the streets are a great place to take photos, always making the most of the spontaneity of the moment. This can clearly lead to some great results, or you might miss out on a good shot because you waited too long and what you were hoping for didn’t actually happen, but I guess that’s part of the magic: playing with the moment you take the photo.

Esto es algo que he mencionado en otras ocasiones, pero las calles son un lugar estupendo para hacer fotografías, aprovechando siempre la espontaneidad del momento. Esto claramente puede tener resultados muy buenos o puedes perder una buena fotografía por esperar tanto y que realmente no sucediera lo que esperabas, pero supongo que esa es la magia, jugar con el momento de hacer la foto.

Personally, I choose a location I know quite well to take my photos, and this has allowed me to learn a bit about how to work with natural light depending on the time of day; that’s why, in every photo, I try to incorporate it to make the most of the shadows and add a bit more depth to the images, so that the subjects stand out more simply through the shadows around them

Personalmente, elijo un lugar que conozco bastante bien para hacer mis fotos y esto me ha permitido aprender un poco del manejo de la luz natural según la hora; por eso, en cada fotografía, intento integrarla para aprovechar las sombras y tener un poco más de juego en las fotografías, para que los protagonistas tengan incluso más presencia con solo el aporte de las sombras a su alrededor
