Monomad: Skateboard tricks [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy Saturday to everyone, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography; I hope you’re all doing great today. I’d like to share with you some more photos I took at the skatepark, capturing the moments when people were performing tricks on their skateboards; I hope you enjoy them.

Feliz sábado para todos, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro; espero que se encuentren genial el día de hoy. Quiero compartir con ustedes más fotografías que hice en el skatepark, aprovechando los momentos en que los presentes hacían trucos en sus patinetas; espero que las disfruten.

Personally, when skaters are at their most focused while performing a trick, that’s when I most enjoy capturing those moments, because even though they happen in a matter of seconds, seeing them in photos lets you better appreciate that frozen moment.

Personalmente, cuando los patinadores están en su momento de más concentración realizando alguna acrobacia, es cuando más me gusta hacer las capturas de esos momentos, porque si bien son momentos que ocurren en cuestión de segundos, al verlos en las fotografías, uno aprecia mejor ese segundo congelado.

I always try to take some wide-angle shots to capture the full urban aesthetic of the skatepark, but in some cases I used tighter shots specifically so you can see exactly what I want, whether it’s the stunt itself or the details revealed when those moments are frozen in time.

Siempre intento hacer algunas fotografías con planos abiertos para apreciar toda la estética urbana del skatepark, pero en algunas hice unos planos más cerrados justamente para que se aprecie exactamente lo que quiero, ya sea la acrobacia o los detalles que se ven al congelar los momentos.

That’s it for this post; it’s always interesting to share urban photos, especially in settings like this, because I think these are the most striking locations for urban photography.
