Monomad: Portraits and hats [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

The beauty of portraits is something that attracted me from the moment I first began to explore photography; that's why I try to take them whenever I can. Taking advantage of the guides and those who told me a little about the place, I took these photographs; I hope you like them as much as I do.

La belleza de los retratos es algo que me atrajo desde el primer momento que empecé a adentrarme en la fotografía; por eso, intento hacerlos en cualquier ocasión que pueda y, aprovechando a los guías y a quienes contaban un poco del sitio, hice estas fotografías; espero que les gusten tanto como a mí.

Although I mention portraits, there are some other photographs where the face is not fully visible, but even so, all these photographs have something in common, which is that all the subjects were wearing hats, and for very good reason: the sun in this place is undoubtedly very strong, but it certainly helped me with the photographs.

Aunque menciono los retratos, hay algunas otras fotografías donde el rostro no se aprecia en su totalidad, pero aun así todas estas fotografías tienen algo en común y es que todos los protagonistas estaban usando sombreros y por muy buena razón; el sol en este lugar sin duda es muy fuerte, pero me ayudó con las fotografías, sin duda.

Hearing stories from people who have lived them or who know the place well is a very enjoyable experience, because you get firsthand accounts of things that catch your attention, and you can see how happy these people are. In two of the photographs, you can see a woman standing next to a mural of a face, which is her own. They paid tribute to her for her great work, and she told us a little about it.

Conocer historias desde aquellas personas que las han vivido o que tienen mucho conocimiento del lugar es una cosa muy agradable de vivir, porque tienes de primera mano cosas que llaman la atención y que puedes notar en estas mismas personas lo felices que son. En dos de las fotografías se puede apreciar a una señora junto a un mural de un rostro y es ella misma; le hicieron un homenaje por su gran trabajo y nos contó un poco sobre ello.
