Monomad: In the darkness of being itself [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Just recently I was reading an article about the fear of the dark and this left me thinking a lot, so I wanted to represent it somehow in these photographs. Although they are part of another session, it seemed to me that the concept fit perfectly because of the expressions and compositions.

Justo hace poco leía un artículo sobre el temor a la oscuridad y esto me dejó pensando bastante, por lo que quise representarlo de alguna manera en estas fotografías. Si bien son parte de otra sesión, me pareció que el concepto encajaba a la perfección por las expresiones y las composiciones.

I have mentioned in other opportunities that I am not a model, sometimes I try on my own to be a participant in my own photographs and maybe show a different side, because well, if my photographs are always portraits, when it comes to me I try to do things that I wouldn't ask someone else or maybe the one that is me, I try not to be self-conscious about things, which is also complicated for me.

He mencionado en otras oportunidades que no soy modelo, a veces intento por mi cuenta ser partícipe en mis propias fotografías y quizás mostrar una parte distinta, ya que bien, si mis fotografías son siempre retratos, cuando se trata de mi intento hacer cosas que no le pediría a alguien más o quizás el que sea yo, intento no cohibirme ante las cosas, lo cual también me resulta complicado.

In these photographs the shadows are quite strong, the light was direct and the darkness of the background certainly frames perfectly what is the portrait, certain parts of the face and the expressions so marked give that touch of dramatism of which I am a fan.

En estas fotografías las sombras son bastante fuertes, la luz era directa y la oscuridad del fondo sin duda enmarca perfectamente lo que es el retrato, ciertas partes del rostro y las expresiones tan marcadas dan ese toque de dramatismo del cual soy fanático.
