Monomad: High street contrast [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

I have always been aware that light is the best ally when taking photographs, and, appreciating some of those shared in the community, I developed a certain admiration for creating strong contrasts with light and shadows. One day, by chance, I came across this place where the light was perfect; I hope you enjoy these photographs.

Siempre he sido consciente de que la luz es la mejor aliada al momento de hacer fotografías y, apreciando algunas de las que comparten en la comunidad, me surgió cierta admiración por hacer fuertes contrastes con la luz y las sombras y un día, por casualidad, me encontré con este lugar donde la luz ayudaba a la perfección; espero que disfruten de estas fotografías.

These areas with strong sunlight are perfect for trying to photograph people passing by. In one of the photographs (and my favorite of all), I managed to capture a person riding a bicycle. I think I really liked capturing that scene; it's something different, even though it's a common photograph, but the contrast of light and shadows adds a lot to the photograph.

Estas zonas con luz donde el sol ilumina de manera fuerte son perfectas para intentar fotografiar a protagonistas que van pasando justo por allí. En una de las fotografías (y mi favorita de todas) logré capturar a una persona que iba en bicicleta; creo que capturar esa escena me gustó bastante, es algo distinto, aun siendo una fotografía común, pero el contraste de luz y sombras brinda mucho a la fotografía.

Even when I'm in the same place, I try to look for different perspectives and be patient enough to position the subjects in the right place and take the photo. I suppose it's one of those opportunities where you either get a good photo or you don't, since you can't repeat the scene, at least not with the same person, and this can be an advantage or not, depending on how you choose to see it. I try to take advantage of every opportunity I have to take a photo.

Aun estando en el mismo lugar, intento buscar distintas perspectivas y saber tener paciencia para ubicar a los protagonistas en el lugar adecuado y hacer la fotografía; supongo que es de esas oportunidades de hacer una buena foto o no, ya que no puedes repetir la escena, al menos no con esa misma persona, y esto puede ser ventaja o no, depende de cómo decidas verlo; yo intento aprovechar cada oportunidad que tenga para la foto.
