Monomad: Expressions and People [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Today I was going through some of my photo folders—I’ve been organizing a few things—and I came across some photos I took at the last freestyle event I attended. I thought they were worth sharing, so I hope you enjoy them.

El día de hoy me encontraba revisando algunas de mis carpetas de fotografías, ya que me encuentro ordenando algunas cosas, y me topé con algunas fotos que hice en el último evento de freestyle al que fui y pensé que valían la pena ser compartidas, por lo que espero que las disfruten.

What I've always loved most about taking photos at these events are the expressions, and this goes hand in hand with portrait photography, which is what drew me to photography in the first place. Capturing the spontaneity of an expression is one of the things I enjoy most.

Siempre lo que más me ha gustado de hacer fotos en estos eventos son las expresiones, y esto va de la mano con hacer retratos, que fue lo que más me atrajo desde que descubrí la fotografía. El capturar lo espontáneo de una expresión es una de las cosas que más disfruto hacer.

Since there are so many colors that can distract the eye, I prefer the final result to be in black and white; this way, the focus stays on the main subjects, and I think that by making use of the surroundings, it creates a pretty good contrast.

Como hay tantos colores que pueden distraer la vista, me gusta que el resultado final sea en blanco y negro; de esta manera se puede centrar la atención en los protagonistas y me parece que, aprovechando el entorno, se genera un contraste bastante bueno.
