Monomad: Daily routine - Street photography #142 [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

I learned to be a spectator of the streets, before I used to overlook all this, because clearly I did not stop for a moment to observe my surroundings, but thanks to photography I am learning to breathe for a couple of minutes, see everything around me and take the opportunity to take a picture to immortalize that moment.

Aprendí a ser un espectador de las calles, antes daba todo esto por alto, porque claramente no me detenía un momento para observar lo que me rodea, pero gracias a la fotografía estoy aprendiendo a respirar un par de minutos, ver todo lo que me rodea y aprovechar de hacer alguna fotografía para inmortalizar ese momento.

Taking pictures of people in the street is fascinating to me, they are moments that are not repeated and end up being scenes that can have a lot of emotional impact, either by the position of the protagonist, the composition or the environment with its lights and shadows, which is why I like to take advantage of the strong sunlight in the afternoons, to generate that contrast.

Hacer fotografías a las personas en la calle me resulta fascinante, son momentos que no se repiten y que terminan siendo escenas que pueden tener mucho impacto emocional, ya sea por la posición del protagonista, la composición o el entorno con sus luces y sombras, razón por lo que me gusta aprovechar la luz fuerte del sol en las tardes, para generar ese contraste.

Watching people walk and go in the direction of their homes makes me a little melancholy, because it makes me think about the amount of time we invest in things that often are not worthwhile and those that are where we have less time, but I guess that's life, you have to eat something.

Ver a las personas caminar e ir en dirección hacia sus casas me genera un poco de melancolía, porque me hace pensar en la cantidad de tiempo que invertimos en cosas que muchas veces no valen la pena y aquellas que sí son donde menos tiempo tenemos, pero supongo que así es la vida, de algo hay que comer.
