Monomad: Cicada song [Eng/Esp]

My favorite photograph is this one, I really liked the framing and the way it gives that prominence to the cicada, it looks like a movie scene where the main character must make a decision. I love the photographs against the light because of that.

Mi fotografía favorita es esta, me ha gustado mucho el encuadre y el como le da ese protagonismo a la cigarra, parece alguna escena de película donde el personaje principal debe tomar una decisión. Me encanta las fotografías a contra luz por eso.

Something I honestly do not like about cicadas is the sound they generate, it sounds very loud and sometimes it gets to a point where the sound itself stuns, there is a saying in my town (I do not know if they also say it in other places) and is that when cicadas are making noise is because they are calling water, so it is expected to rain, I doubt that this is proven, but I thought it was a curious fact to comment.

Algo que honestamente no me gustan de las cigarras es el sonido que generan, suena muy fuerte y a veces llega un punto en que el mismo sonido aturde, hay un dicho en mi pueblo (desconozco si también lo dirán en otros lugares) y es que cuando las cigarras están haciendo ruido es porque están llamando agua, por lo cual se espera que llueva, dudo que esto esté comprobado, pero me parecía un dato curioso para comentar.

In one of the pictures I took of the cicada there is a white line and for a moment I got scared thinking that it was a fault in my camera or something like that, but looking carefully at the cicada for a long time, I saw that another thin line was coming out of its side, so I interpreted that this was its way of urinating, I found it quite curious and I was very grateful to be in the opposite direction, it is not the kind of surprises I would like to have while taking pictures of an insect.

En una de las fotografías que le tomé a la cigarra aparece cierta línea blanca y por un momento me asusté pensando que era alguna falla de mi cámara o algo por el estilo, pero viendo detenidamente a la cigarra por un largo rato, vi que otra línea delgada salía de su costado, por lo que interprete que esa era su manera de orinar, me pareció bastante curioso y agradecí mucho estar en sentido contrario a su dirección, no es el tipo de sorpresas que me gustaría llevarme mientras le realizo fotografías a un insecto.
