Monomad: A Saturday dedicated to skating [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy Saturday to everyone, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography; I hope you’re all having a great day today. Skateboarding has always fascinated me from many angles, but the most obvious aspect is the tricks they perform, and today I’m sharing some photos of just that.

Feliz sábado para todos, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro; espero que se encuentren genial el día de hoy. El skate siempre me ha resultado interesante desde muchas perspectivas, pero lo obvio son los trucos que realizan y hoy les comparto algunas fotografías de ello.

The key to taking these photos is to have a lot of patience and to be persistent, just like the skaters themselves, because the idea is to keep trying until you capture that perfect shot at the right moment, when the skater finally lands the trick they’ve been attempting over and over again.

La manera de hacer estas fotografías es tener mucha paciencia y ser constante, así como lo son quienes patinan, porque la idea es intentarlo hasta encontrar esa fotografía adecuada, en el momento adecuado y cuando quien patina también logra hacer el truco que había intentado hacer una y otra vez.

The great thing about the skatepark is that it gives you freedom of movement and lets you explore different angles for your shots. Plus, the lighting is excellent, casting light on certain areas just as the sun is about to set, which definitely lets you experiment a bit to enhance your photos and add some dynamism.

Lo bueno del skatepark es que te permite tener libertad de movimiento y buscar distintos ángulos para las composiciones, además de tener una muy buena luz que ilumina ciertas zonas cuando el sol se encuentra a poco tiempo de desaparecer, lo que te permite sin duda jugar un poco para mejorar las fotos y agregar dinamismo.
