Monomad: A little friend from home [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

A couple of days ago, I was walking around my house and came across this little lizard. Here in Venezuela, they are called “tuqueque,” and I think they are very cute animals that never bother anyone, so I dared to take some pictures of it. I hope you enjoy them.

Hace un par de días iba caminando por mi casa y me encontré con esta pequeña lagartija. Aquí en Venezuela se le llama como “tuqueque” y son unos animales muy lindos a mi parecer y que nunca molestan en ningún momento, por lo que me atreví a hacerle algunas fotografías, espero que las disfruten.

They are usually found on walls, in corners, or windows, hunting small insects that come near them or get trapped somewhere for whatever reason, but this one was on the floor, which I found strange, but I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to take pictures because of that.

Normalmente, se encuentran en las paredes, en rincones o ventanas y cazan pequeños insectos que se les acercan o quedan atrapados en algún lado por cualquier razón, pero este estaba en el piso, lo cual me pareció extraño, pero no iba a dejar pasar la oportunidad de hacer las fotos por ello.

I had to use my camera's flash if I wanted to get a good focus, because I was backlit and there wasn't much light in my living room, but let's say I was able to balance it out a bit by adjusting certain settings. I thought the contrast created by the floor looked best in black and white, and I'm quite happy with the result.

Tuve que utilizar el flash de mi cámara si quería hacer un buen enfoque, porque justo estaba a contra luz y al estar en la sala de mi casa había poca luz, pero digamos que lo pude equilibrar un poco al modificar ciertos valores. El contraste que se aprecia gracias al piso me parecía que lo mejor era verlo en blanco y negro y estoy bastante contento con ello.
