Monomad: A day like any other [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy start to the week, dear friends of the community and lovers of black and white photography. How was your weekend? I hope you had a good time and are feeling great today. I want to start the week with some street photos I took on February 14; honestly, I thought there would be more romance on the streets, but none of my photos show that.

Feliz inicio de semana, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro. ¿Cómo pasaron el fin de semana? Espero que la pasaran bien y se encuentren genial el día de hoy. Quiero iniciar la semana con unas fotografías callejeras que hice el 14 de febrero; honestamente, pensé que habría más romance en la calle, pero en ninguna de mis fotos se aprecia eso.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that it wasn't celebrated or anything like that, but where I was and where I found it most interesting to take photos, there weren't many couples going from one place to another. However, when I finished taking photos and walked a little further, there were people with their gifts, but I was already on my way to wait for my girlfriend.

No me malinterpreten, no quiero decir que no se celebró o algo por el estilo, sino que en el lugar en el que me encontraba y donde se me hacía más interesante hacer las fotos, no había muchas parejas yendo de un lugar a otro, pero cuando terminé de hacer fotos y caminé un poco, sí había personas con sus regalos, pero ya estaba encaminado a esperar a mi novia.

Even so, I like to think that there is also a different side to the days that many celebrate; we are not all in the same situation in every sense, so it is good to see how other people cope on a day that for others is just another routine day.

Aun así, me gusta pensar que también hay una moneda distinta de los días que muchos celebran; no todos estamos en la misma situación en cualquier sentido, por ende, es bueno ver también cómo se manejan las demás personas un día que para otros es bastante rutinario nada más.

I hope you enjoyed these street photographs; I must say that I liked many of them because of the contrast that can be seen; some of the subjects stand out because of their clothing or the setting that makes them stand out.
