Moments in freestyle battles [Eng/Esp]

Let's talk a little about the expressions in the portraits, naturally when taking portraits it is evident that the most important thing is the face, in many occasions we add some element that makes it more striking and in others we only highlight the expressions and this is what I try to do when I take pictures in this type of event, it is a somewhat complicated task when there are many things happening at the moment, but while you are focusing on the protagonists that you consider that will make an excellent photograph you can add between photos, so I hope you enjoy these photographs.

Hablemos un poco de las expresiones en los retratos, naturalmente cuando se hacen retratos es evidente que lo más importante es el rostro, en muchas ocasiones se les suma algún elemento que lo haga más llamativo y en otras solo se destacan las expresiones y esto es lo que más intento hacer yo cuando realizo fotografías en este tipo de evento, es una tarea un poco complicada cuando hay muchas cosas sucediendo al momento, pero mientras te vas centrando en los protagonistas que consideras que harán una excelente fotografía puedes ir sumando entre foto y foto, por lo que espero que disfruten de estas fotografías.

There are times when in the events there are few people attending, I would even dare to say that the normal environment has few people, this of course removing the competitors, but there are times when events are more striking and many people attend and it is in these situations where I most like to be, because I have many competitors to take pictures of and in addition to that, having so many people around also contributes to the photographs, because you end up making frames that encompass the faces of the people with their expressions and add what I mentioned before, an element (in this case another person) that also helps to distinguish it.

Hay ocasiones en los que en los eventos son pocas personas las que asisten, incluso me atrevería a decir que el ambiente normal cuenta con pocas personas, esto claro quitando a los competidores, pero hay ocasiones que se hacen eventos más llamativos y muchas personas asisten y es en estas situaciones donde más me gusta estar, porque tengo muchos competidores a los cuales hacerles fotografías y aunado a eso el tener tantas personas alrededor aporta también a las fotografías, porque terminas haciendo unos encuadres que engloba el rostro de las personas con sus expresiones y sumas lo que mencionaba antes, un elemento (en este caso otra persona) que ayuda también a distinguirlo.

For these photographs I love to play with a little more brown tones, although this is also due to the time I usually take the pictures and this event just coincided with the beginning of the golden hour, although in the place where it was taking place the light was not hitting hard, I helped me a little in the development, accentuate some things and highlight others, remove certain colors that I considered a little distracting in the photographs and focused attention on each protagonist, I'm certainly quite happy with the result.

Para estas fotografías adoro jugar con las tonalidades un poco más marrones, aunque también esto se debe a la hora en que suelo hacer las fotografías y este evento justo coincidió con el inicio de la hora dorada, aunque en el lugar donde se estaba realizando no pegaba con fuerza la luz, me ayudé un poco en el revelado, acentuar algunas cosas y destacar otras, eliminar ciertos colores que consideraba distraían un poco en las fotografías y centré la atención en cada protagonista, sin duda estoy bastante contento con el resultado.

Capturing actions and expressions in these competitions is a challenge, but seeing the final result, without a doubt I can say that it is worth it to take so many pictures looking for the one you want to achieve the most.
