Green Masked Jumping Spider | Lyssomanes viridis [Eng/Esp]
Greetings friends of the community, I hope you are well. Since a few weeks ago, I adopted a certain routine of going out to the garden of my house and observe certain plants or any place in search of an insect or anything else that might catch my attention to take some pictures, in one of those times when I did it, I was looking for a long time until by mere chance I saw this spider and it was because it moved, otherwise, I really would not have noticed that it was there, at first it was well camouflaged with the leaves but once I saw it, I set out to take some pictures.
Saludos amigos de la comunidad, espero se encuentren bien. Desde hace algunas semanas, adopté cierta rutina de salir al patio de mi casa y observar ciertas plantas o cualquier sitio en busca de algún insecto o cualquier otra cosa que pueda llamar mi atención para hacer algunas fotografías, en una de esas veces en que lo hice, estuve mirando por un largo rato hasta que por mera casualidad visualice ésta araña y fue porque se movió, de lo contrario, realmente no me fuese percatado de que se encontraba ahí, al principio estaba bien camuflajeada con las hojas pero ya una vez la vi, me dispuse a hacer algunas fotografías.
I have already written in some other publication where I upload pictures of other spiders that I have found that I am really the least fan of arachnids and that even generate fear in me since I was very young, but as I have been taking pictures of them I find them more and more interesting, they still generate me some fear to get close sincerely, but I can find the beauty of observing them at a certain distance and then photograph them.
Ya he escrito en alguna otra publicación donde subo fotografías de otras arañas que me he encontrado que realmente soy el menos fanático de los arácnidos y que inclusive me generan miedo desde muy pequeño, pero conforme he ido haciéndoles fotografías los encuentro cada vez más interesantes, me siguen generando algo de miedo acercarme sinceramente, pero puedo encontrar la belleza de observarles a cierta distancia para luego fotografiarles.
I honestly had no idea what species it was, but doing some googling I found out that it is a green masked jumping spider and that its scientific name is Lyssomanes viridis. I can really understand why it is a jumping spider, while I was taking pictures, this one was moving with a lot of agility while hunting certain flies that for some reason were approaching, although it could not catch any, at least while I was taking pictures of it, in the afternoon I realized that it had managed to catch a fly.
Honestamente no tenía ni idea de qué especie era, pero buscando un poco en Google descubrí que es una araña saltarina verde enmascarada y que su nombre científico es Lyssomanes viridis. Realmente puedo entender por qué es una araña saltarina, mientras hacía las fotografías, esta se movía con mucha agilidad mientras cazaba ciertas moscas que por alguna razón se acercaban, aunque no pudo capturar ninguna, al menos mientras le hacía las fotografías, por la tarde me percaté que había conseguido atrapar una mosca.

That is an interesting creature, but you captured it well. its legs are interesting :) I think I've never seen one from so close.
Thank you very much. I'm trying to lose a little more fear so I can get a little closer, haha. Funny you should mention the legs, I just read that it is the spider with the longest legs of all jumping spiders.
In my eyes you're extremely brave anyway. I don't think I would have the courage to go close to them 😁
