Capturing protagonists with light [Eng/Esp]

Sometimes you don't need to show so much in photographs to convey what interests you. I mean, there are certain photographs where shadows predominate, and yet the small areas of light, which show either objects or subjects, manage to convey the same message as a photograph where the balance between light and shadow predominates. That's why today I want to share with you some street photographs where light is what dictates the subjects. I hope you enjoy them.

A veces no es necesario mostrar tanto en las fotografías para mostrar lo que te interesa, quiero decir, hay ciertas fotografías donde las sombras predominan y aun así, las pequeñas zonas de luz, que muestran ya sea objetos o protagonistas, logran transmitir de la misma manera que una fotografía donde el equilibrio entre luz y sombras predomina, por eso, el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algunas fotografías callejeras, donde la luz es quien dictamina a los protagonistas, espero que las disfruten.

Streets can be quiet or very noisy, but in photographs they are almost always quiet (obviously, if you want to show the opposite, that's another perspective), because when you focus on what is happening and fix your gaze on a single protagonist, you begin to tell a story that can be very lonely and full of nostalgia, or, on the other hand, photographs full of people sharing, all of this forming part of the streets in a spontaneous way, which I have always loved to capture, and I would say that for scenes where the sun's rays are what allow you to see, it is perfect.

Las calles pueden ser silenciosas o muy ruidosas, pero en las fotografías casi siempre son silenciosas (obviamente si buscas mostrar lo contrario ya es otra perspectiva), porque al centrarte en aquello que ocurre y fijar tu vista en un único protagonista, empiezas a contar una historia que puede ser muy solitaria y llena de nostalgia o por otra parte unas fotografías llenas de personas compartiendo, todo esto formando parte de las calles de una manera espontánea, lo cual siempre me ha gustado capturar sin duda y diría que para escenarios donde los rayos de sol son los que permiten ver, es perfecto.

When developing these photographs, I didn't go for the cinematic style that I usually like to apply, but I must say that the atmosphere of the photographs fit perfectly with that style. However, on this occasion, I focused on giving more life and color to the sunlight, so that each protagonist could tell their own story in that way. Some of the shots are more open than others because I wanted to show more than just what the sun was illuminating.

Para el revelado de estas fotografías no me fui como siempre con ese estilo cinematográfico que me gusta aplicar, pero sí debo decir que el ambiente de las fotografías encajaba perfectamente en eso, pero en esta ocasión me centré en darle más vida y color a la luz del sol, para que cada protagonista pudiese contar su propia historia de esa manera. Algunos planos de las fotografías son más abiertos que otros, porque quise mostrar más allá de lo que solo iluminaba el sol.
