Today I was going through some folders with pictures I had forgotten I had and I found these of a jumping spider with a green mask and lately I have seen many publications where they share pictures of them, curiously I am meeting it this year, so I find it curious that just after seeing it for the first time I started to see it everywhere, sometimes coincidences are kind of funny, because as I have mentioned on another occasion, I do not like spiders at all, but here I am, taking pictures of them.

El día de hoy me encontraba revisando algunas carpetas con fotografías que había olvidado que tenía y me encontré con estas de una araña saltarina de máscara verde y últimamente he visto muchas publicaciones donde comparten fotografías de ellas, curiosamente yo la estoy conociendo este mismo año, por lo que me parece curioso que justo luego de verle por primera vez empecé a verla en todos los lugares, a veces las casualidades son un tanto graciosas, porque como bien lo he mencionado en otra ocasión, no me gustan para nada las arañas, pero aquí me tienen, haciéndoles fotografías.

I won't lie to you, this time I was a little more nervous than the last time I took pictures and the reason for this is that as you can see in the first pictures, the spider looked like it was in a position of being ready to attack and I was a little scared to think that it would jump on me if I brought the camera lens so close, luckily it didn't happen, but I kept my distance to not look for what I had missed, the funny thing was that minutes later I saw that it caught a small fly that fell into its web.

No les mentiré, en esta oportunidad sí estuve un poco más nervios a diferencia de la última vez que le hice fotografías y el motivo de esto es que como pueden evidenciar en las primeras fotografías, la araña se veía como en una posición de estar preparada para atacar y me daba un poco de miedo el pensar que me saltara encima si acercaba tanto el lente de la cámara, por suerte no sucedió, pero mantuve mi distancia para no buscar aquello que no se me había perdido, lo curioso fue que minutos después vi que cazó una pequeña mosca que cayó en su telaraña.

Although I am certainly afraid of spiders, I must say that in many occasions I find them so interesting too, maybe because of the way they weave their own home that serves them as a shelter and also as a way to feed themselves every time some little distracted insect ends up getting trapped there, so looking at it in a calmer way, they are an incredible homemaking machine, I guess that's just one of the factors that makes me a little afraid of spiders, haha.

Aunque ciertamente me dan miedo las arañas, debo decir que en muchas ocasiones las encuentro tan interesantes también, quizás por la manera en el como tejen su propio hogar que les sirve como refugio y además una forma de alimentarse por cada vez que algún pequeño insecto distraído termina quedando atrapado allí, por lo que viéndolo de una manera más tranquila, son una increíble máquina de casería, supongo que justamente ese es uno de los factores que me genera un poco de miedo en las arañas, jaja.
