Monomad: Jumping spiders (Salticidae)
Jumping spiders (Salticidae) leverage their powerful eyesight for hunting. Their sharp vision makes them agile predators in their natural habitat. Their slow, almost inaudible movements make them highly calculated predators, stalking prey at a distance.
Furthermore, almost all spider species contribute to controlling plant pests. This is evident in the abundance of food consumed by Salticidae, including mosquitoes, moths, flies, aphids, and many more. Although renowned as adept predators, spiders also face threats from various other predators. Some are larger than them, such as frogs, lizards, birds, and some insects.
