Visit to the Ice Palace

This Ice Palace is the world's highest glacier palace which is located at the klein Matterhorn Paradise in Zermatt Switzerland. Once you are at the klein matterhorn cave, you again have to descent by 15 meters to reach to this ice palace. It is all internally connected, so reaching here is convenient, only thing you need is to be prepared to walk all of this in the freezing temperature. To descent there is a lift so again that's not an issue but then there is a small walk inside. For someone who is not prepared with the right clothing, this can be challenging.

Once you step here, it feels like you are in some fairy tale place. There are all sculptures made of Ice and quite a fascinating place. Many years back I had visited the Jungfrauch Ice palace. I do not have very clear memories and remember it faintly, but from what I remember I felt this is a bigger and a better one. I am not very sure but I guess this is a newer one so may be it is made better. We did not have to pay anything extra for entrance to this place. It was covered in the ticket we had purchased.

As we enter we get to read some information about the ice palace. The whole floor is also ice and hence there is a rug all over the place to avoid slipping. Falling in this place would be terrible, it would hurt a lot, so it needs precautions.

As I walk in, I see all these different characters sculptures made of Ice, they are beautiful.

It's a fight of the two bulls. As you will see it is detailed out so well, as if it's a story that they are saying through these sculptures.

Mr. Hubby finds it difficult to walk so he comes behind slowly :-)

The most favorite art piece that I loved in this entire place. Sculpture of Crystals

The place is extremely cold and I was not very well prepared also. I had a jacket but this one was not very protective against the temperature here. Anyways I did spend a good enough time looking at the place and at the same time also wanted to make it quick and get out. Quite a fun experience it was.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

And I cannot tell you how much fun it was, but yes Viraf was struggling with all of this due to his health conditions.
