I wrote about the Duden waterfalls of Antalya, and shared the upper ground of the falls. Today I will share with you the lower grounds of the falls which are located in the heart of Antalya city flowing through the city and plunging from a height of 40 meters in to the Mediterranean sea. It is one of the natural wonders that truly gives a very captivating sight. There is a park area also where I saw that many people came for day picnics. It is little far from the city center, but from where we stayed it was close-by. Our hotel was closer to the airport and far from the city center.

Best is that there is no entry fee to this sight and it's all free. The upper ground falls did have a fee but this one is free. Only there are parking charges for private vehicles, which is also nominal fee. As a tourist, we normally prefer having a tour guide, but for this particular place there is no requirement of a tour guide.

This was the first sight that we started our day with and it really felt very good. The falls are not as huge as Niagara or something like that, but they are still very impressive. And what I enjoy the most is the sound of the gushing water from the hill falling into the sea. It's roaring and fierce. We spent quite a lot of time here and also clicked loads of pictures. There were some local stalls serving chai and some of their local foods. The chai was made in the sand, which gave a very good flavor. Well, I am not a tea drinker, but hubby had and he relished it.

Beginning of the day watching something like this surely fills my heart with a lot of joy.
