My city keeps reminding me of Japan in ways more then I can imagine. These days wherever I am going I am finding Japanese themes. Yesterday I was meeting a friend for lunch at the mall. To my surprise the mall also had a decor with Japanese theme. Me and my friend had a hearty laugh over it, she was telling me, looks like the Universe wants you to visit the place again. The restaurant we visited, it's not a Japanese cuisine restaurant but even their decor was of the same theme with red lanterns. Looks like Japan is too much in the air in Mumbai city and everyone is heavily influenced by the beauty and culture of this country.

It was a nice cozy afternoon catching up with my friend after almost 5 months. It is our ritual whenever I am in town to have a couple of meals together. We have known each other for more then 20 years now, so the bond is strong and it's no more just friends, it's like family. Always there by each other's side. It's beautiful to have such relationships in life, and I am blessed, because most of my friends come a long way with me.

Life will never be the same if my girls are not present in them, so they mean a lot to me. We have huge age gaps but we think alike and there are no gaps in our mind and heart which is the beauty of our relationship. And it's not like we get to meet often, it is twice or thrice in a year, but still the bond remains strong. Good friendship does not need daily contact, it's about even if you meet after years, you should be able to catch up from where you left without any complaints and grudges. That's what true friendship is all about.
