Getting on to the last part of the flower show. As you saw from the pictures so far this year the focus was on showing India's development from the ancient times till now and also showcasing India's rich heritage and culture. Along with all of this, there is also something for the children. I love this corner of the show. It makes everyone feel childlike. Last year I had visited the show during the day time, it was pretty, but at night time with the lights it looks all the more glamorous.

While in Ahmedabad it is happening on a very large scale, in Mumbai too it is happening but not as big as this one and it's much simpler one. I have never visited the Mumbai show, even though it is my city. This show happens in the month of January and that's the time when I am in Ahmedabad, and I make it a point to visit. The Mumbai show is the oldest flower show in India, but it's still not gained that kind of popularity as the Ahmedabad one.

This part of the show as I mentioned is more for the kids and also some other randoms.

I Lion is a part of the India's National Emblem, the Ashoka, it represents courage, national power, confidence and pride

In India Lotus is a symbol of Spiritual enlightenment, beauty and purity

And here is something for the children

This is again from the Indian mythology. This scene depicts the Samudra Manthan, meaning churning of the Sea. It is said that the Gods and the Demons both came together to churn the ocean to obtain the nectar of immortality. It has a long story behind it.
