In my yesterday's post I mentioned about the Dome theme restaurant dining. So while we were there, we did not use the dome as I mentioned it had it's own terms, but I wanted to spend some time in that place so we went ahead with the open seating and settle down for a cup of Tea

When I called for the Tea menu I was surprised to see the variety of Tea they offered. Most of the names I had not heard of. The price for a cup of tea was high, but due to Ramadan going on they had an offer of 50% discount on all Teas and other beverages, so that was a good deal to grab on. I called for Aromatic Mayflower.

I was expecting a normal cup of tea with a tea bag, like always, but this one was very different. She brought in a hot cup of water and I thought probably I will have to dip it myself. Then she gave me a small packet in which I expected the tea bag to be there, when I opened it, there was no tea bag, and there was a round ball sort of. I did not know what to do with it, I asked for the stewardess help for how to use it. She explained to me that I need to drop the ball in the hot water cup and cover it and eventually the ball will open up and from it a flower will come out and that will make the tea. A very unique experience for me. I had never come across anything like this.

It was confusing for me to decide which one to order, as all of them were unique

I went in for the Aromatic Mayflower and it was a good choice made. This is how it was when I removed it from the wrap.

After leaving this little ball in the water, it slowly started sinking and opening up

It was a very sweet process to see the whole thing coming out

Once the flower settled down and opened up there was another flower that came out from it and that one gave the color to the tea.

The taste and aroma both were very nice and soothing. My empty cup :-)

This was a combination of Lily, Green Tea and Sweet scented Osmanthus a type of a flower used in herbal teas.
I will be going again this Thursday to try out another flavor. The next one that I plan to try out is the Lying snow, it has a mix of green tea, marigold and coconut fruit fibre, sounds very different and exciting. Hope taste wise also it is going to be like that. I am so much in love with it. This is just not about having a cup of Tea, it is about an experience which is so delightful and then the beach side seating gave a perfect touch to this whole experience.
