Thursday I had a late night attending one of my friend's birthday, so Friday morning also started late. After waking up I was in no mood of cooking or doing any house chores. Told hubby, let's go and have lunch out somewhere. The weather is also so nice and it's probably one and half more month of this beautiful weather, so want to grasp the air as much as possible. We decided to go to the Corniche. It's a long drive and also this stretch of drive is beautiful. This whole path is beautified with flowers all along the way.

The air here is crisp and clean with clear blue skies and the sound of the seagulls is soothing. I enjoy this place at any given time. At night time it has a different charm, but day time I can see crystal clear water and the birds flying around. By the Corniche there are couple of restaurants, we picked up a Turkish place for our meals and ordered some kebabs and Shwarma, which is their specialty. It's an outdoor seating, overlooking the sea and savoring the food.

This part of the city is very famous with the tourist, as here there is a port where all the cruise liners get docked. There is also a hop-on, hop-off bus service here. The famous Muttrah souk is also opposite the road, so in all it becomes a nice place to hang out. On this day there were no cruises arrived so comparatively it was less crowded and we could get the table at the restaurant easily. Else sometimes that becomes a challenge.
