๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒปSublime Sunday๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’– by @c0ff33a - Desert Adventure over the Weekend

This weekend I made a visit to the Desert with some of my friends. Camping in the Desert here in Oman is a very different experience unlike Dubai. There are no organized tours as such where there will be dance shows and other planned activities. Normally here we arrange on our own and just venture out. In the Desert area there are many Camps where we can put up and spend the night. It is like your own territory where you can explore by yourself. A lot of people come here over the weekend in this season for Dune bashing and other Desert activities. We visited the Bidiyah region, which is most famous for Desert camping and near to the City. It was a 2 hour drive for us.

The drive takes us through varied landscapes cutting across the Mountains. It's a very rugged view. On this road all around I could only see dry lands.

There are tunnels on the way. This is the only road in Oman which has tunnels.

We finally reached Bidiyah town. From here it was another 15 mins drive into the Desert.

Life is very different here. In the summer it gets extremely hot, but right now the weather is pleasant. Though when we reached it was peak sun time and had got hot. Towards the evening it was very pleasant. We enter into the Desert.

After resting up for a while and having our lunch we headed straight up to the Dunes. People normally come here with their cars for Dune bashing. I wanted to go up by foot. Walking in the sand is not easy, it takes a lot of effort, specially if it's a climb. The sand is so smooth, that you would keep slipping.

I am pointing towards the last dune which is left to move up.

There are unique sand patterns formed due to the wind. Just looks like waves in the sea.

I was way ahead then others, they were not interested in climbing up too far, but I wanted to, so I was moving quickly.

These shrubs are growing all over in the Desert. Need to be careful while walking as they are very pointed, can hurt badly.

Such a sad sight this was. God knows when we humans will have some good sense and stop destroying our nature with our crap. There was lot of garbage around. People come for camping and then they leave their garbage behind. There should be heavy penalty for these kind of actions.

Such a wonderful and delightful weekend it was. We made some dance reels up on the dunes, with a lot of madness.

It was a sense of complete freedom that I experienced in this place.

Thank you for visiting my blog. ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒธ

The place was amazing except for that garbage part. Yes, we did carry all the stocks of food and water
