Scenic Drives and some reflections

(Edited)

This was on one of our morning drives over the weekend, where it was decided spontaneously just to take a long drive and return back. It was a beautiful bright sunny morning and a very pleasant weather. I always say that Oman is a very beautiful country and the pictures speak for it. It gets the Arabian Sea coastline running all through out the country and when you take the adjacent road to the coastline you will surely be charmed with it's beauty.

Something that I am going to miss the most when I return back to Mumbai permanently. Though I am so desperate to be back home forever, some times I have mixed feelings about it. This place is peaceful, you have a very good quality life over here. You enjoy nature, life is slow here, if allows you to admire the beauty around. In Mumbai that's not the case, there is mad traffic everywhere and it feels like people are always in rush all the time, there are not much scenic views on the city roads and you are always stuck in traffic.

When I return back I would have spent almost 10 years of my life in this place and I can say that they have been the best years of my life. Not in terms of financial growth but in terms of my spiritual growth. This place has taught me to appreciate the little things of life.

Let me share the pictures with you from our drive. Some years back this place was very empty but now there are new resorts that have come up here. The government must have seen the potential of this place and planned. But then in all of that the natural views are now getting blocked partially.

Your post beautifully captures the essence and charm of Oman, painting a vivid picture of its serene landscapes juxtaposed with the bustling life back in Mumbai. It's fascinating how places carve their imprints on us, teaching us to find beauty and peace in the simplest of things. Your journey sounds like a profound exploration of both the world outside and the landscapes within. The pictures are absolutely stunning, showcasing the natural beauty Oman has to offer. It's a bittersweet feeling, isn't it? To miss a place even before you've left, knowing it has shaped a part of your soul. As for the resorts, while they do hint at progress, one can't help but hope that development will tread gently, preserving the unspoiled vistas that make Oman so enchanting. Your post has certainly added Oman to my list of must-visit places. Safe travels back to Mumbai, and may you carry the tranquility of Oman in your heart always.

When something is so beautiful in nature how can one turn away from it. I always feel blessed that a few years of my life I got to live in this heaven.
Oman's tourism is very much under valued, it's a treasure of the Middle East.

I think the mixed feelings are kind of normal, spending a decade in such a place creates wonderful memories.
It's an attractive place, with clear air and probably a nice breeze also. Peaceful places tend to favour simple living, which is why I always prefer them.

The quality of life is very good and high in this place. Sometimes I feel like I am living in a wonderland and whenever I travel back to India, reality hits back..hehe.

Lol, that's amazing way to put it. Perhaps, there are varying degrees to reality depending on the location we find ourselves in. Some places just feel more like a dream than a realty.

I think it looks sublime. Not a lot of people get to just stop the hustle and bustle of their lives to enjoy peaceful scenery like this. So while you return, it's clear that this place is permanently ingrained in your heart. Lots of love to you, dear. The pictures are exquisite.🌺

Oman is certainly a beautiful city and the pictures bear witness to that. Well you have no other choice but to leave it for the boisterous environment of Mumbai. I hope everything works out well for you when you return to Mumbai. Thanks for writing and have a nice day.
