Rainy day, long drives
Weather is amazing these days and going for a long drive is quite a fun. Me and hubby over the weekend decided to take off on the road, there was no fix destination, it was going to be just a long drive. The plan was to halt at one point, have tea and some snacks and back home. When we left, it was an open sky but then on the way there was a heavy rainfall and we could not take a halt, so we returned back just with the drive. I enjoyed it, the hills are all lush green right now and the scenery all through out the drive is beautiful.
In Muscat when we go for long drives, the scenery is very different, there are mountains all around but no greenery, they are all bald and treeless lacking any type of vegetation. But here in Mumbai it's different, there is greens all around and it feels so soothing for the eyes and soul. That does not mean I do not enjoy my long drives there in Muscat, it's equally beautifully, the rawness has it's own magic and charm.
Sometimes, I wonder what would life be without any nature around us. I guess it would feel like living on Mars. We are so blessed to enjoy these different landscapes and all these different types of climates. Mother Earth has so much to give to us but we forget to take care of her. The other day I went on a short trek to the near by hills at my village home and at one point I saw there was so much garbage lying around. It was so sad to see that. People eat, enjoy and then irresponsibly leave all their garbage behind for others to clean. The area is very open and people come here for day picnics. I saw one girl who had come with her dog and she was shaving her dog there, I asked her to pick up all the shaved her and dispose it off properly. Had I not told her, she would have left it there itself.
People some times feel that the open places where there are no regulations, can be used any how and they can leave the garbage. They do not realize that these are places that they have to be careful about, because no one comes to pick up garbage in these places.
And it's started raining
It's pouring heavily and by now the visibility is also becoming a challenge, so we decided to take a short halt at one of the parking areas and then continue.
Weekends like these are the best.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
What a coincidence. It's raining here too. The real spontaneous beauty is when your spontaneous drive is not rooted in any fixed destination. Western ghat has its own unique beauty and it is also the region of heavy rainfall. I love the lush greenery moment. That's the real charm of life.
I like it when there is green all round, a fantastic drive in Mumbai, with lots of stunning photos. Regard.
Beautiful drive good you enjoyed yourself this kind of environment is enjoyable especially as is raining and you are in your private car makes it more fun 😆😁
Perfect weather for spontaneous adventures. My sister and I love the unplanned drives too, even the rain made it special. The green hills after monsoon are absolutely stunning. Nothing beats those peaceful moments together on the road with someone that means a lot to you.
