Day 3 of EBC

Day 3 has been a relaxed day. It was an acclimatisation day, so there was very little that I had to climb. I asked my guide what the minimum was that I could do, I was so tired from the previous day that I really wanted it easy. He suggested that I should do a minimum of 200 meter elevations.

With little to do my day also started late. The suggested site to trek was the Tenzing Norgay Sherpa Heritage Centre. He was the first to climb the Everest along with Edmund Hillary in 1953 after several failed attempts.

After visiting the centre I got back to my hotel and since then I have been in my room only. The weather was also not very great. It was raining on and off and very foggy. I wanted to visit the local market but later I felt lazy doing that. I requested my guide if he could get me some magnets as souvenirs, which we coordinated over the phone and got it.

There is an electric blanket on the bed, and that made me feel so cosy that almost the remaining day I spent in the bed, except for getting to the dining room for dinner. It felt like a luxury. Now, the remaining days are all going to be tough, and I am not going to get such luxury until the end of the trek.

Here are some pictures from the day.

It's great that there are places to stopover while trekking ma'am.😊 The pictures are proof that you enjoyed your activities.😊

There are some villages in between the 2 destinations so that makes it convenient to stop for food and using washroom services

acclimatisation day मेरा हमेशा से बेस्ट डे रहा है। धीरे धीरे थोड़ी ऊंचाई गेन करो और पूरे दिन मजे। क्या आपको मैग्नेट मिले?.

Yes, I did buy a few magnets.
I only took one acclimatisation day, today we did from Dingboche straight to Lobuche and now tomorrow to EBC and return I am flying down. I don't have that strength to do the return journey.
Good thing is that so far all my vitals have been strong and my oxygen level has been really good at this height, it is 85.

If means your body is with you completely. You are going good and strong. Yeah of course trek like EBC are challenging and thrilling and demands too much body strength but I can say you are going good. More power to you

The next few days may certainly be tough but I trust that you'll get the hang of it. Looking forward to more feedback from your trek. All the best.🌺

The adventure is an interesting one but also seem quite stressful and I could imagine how tired you are from what you have written
Have a good rest!

Thank you for following my journey. It is one of a life time journey for me. At many moments I have felt like giving it up and then with a little break again continue. It feels good as I am nearing the final destination

It's like sufferings and trials in life. It will somehow lead us to giving up but if we choose to continue, there is a beautiful moment that awaits us. I am attracted to the beauty of your trekking place and the way to narrate your experience. It's a pleasure to support and follow your journey.
