I am always very fascinated with these antic wooden furniture. On my trip to Switzerland at one of the Museums I found this treasure. Oh m god this whole collection was truly mind blowing. Honestly I wanted to steal them and get to my home. This collection of Chest Draws is a real treasure. This collection comes from between the 12th and the 15th century. In those times these chest draws were used in transport of the royal items. I must say what lifestyle the Royals of those times must have had. Crazy to even think in today's times any such things happening.

With times their fashion also changed.

These pieces of furniture are fabulous. At some time when they were common in almost every home no one valued them but nowadays again I see people having a desire to get these fine pieces of furniture. I remember at my aunt's place there were couple of chest draws, some very good ones. In olden days these were common storage boxed and they always used the best wood, unlike today. But in our home no one valued them and they were all sold off one by one. I was a kid had no sense of these things then. But today I wish that hope they could have preserved some pieces, would have been such a delight to have in mu home space.
