City of Dreams; A midnight stroll
10 days are gone like just in a blink, and it's time to travel back to Muscat. Shuffling between these 2 cities Muscat and Mumbai has become a routine of my life. There are many advantages to it and some disadvantages also. I do love Mumbai more between these 2 cities, though Mumbai is not perfect like Muscat in many ways, it has it's own charm and keep pulling me back to it. I feel freedom in this place. Muscat is beautiful, scenic, a very clean city, life is relaxed there, but then sometimes I find it too slow, and after all heart is where the home is.
Last night with my friend I had some work in the evening, and we were out. By the time we finished work, it was late night. We decided to walk up as we had loads of conversations to make. I enjoy taking stroll in this part of the city, this area is majorly commercial and shopping area. Here you find many old British colonial buildings, I find a lot of character in these buildings. Lately there have been efforts to give these building a good show with effective lightings. I shared the CST station building, which is one of the important hub of Mumbai. Most of these building are now government offices.
This building that we walked by is the administrative office of the Railways. It was not possible for me to get a clear view of this building as there are many trees in front of it. I could not walk up to that street, as it was quite a distance, so the picture is taken from the opposite side of the road. These are all more then 100 years building and they still stand up so well. I feel they are less maintenance also, as they do not need any painting works and they are all weather proof. For sure they are expensive to make, but then if one has to evaluate the cost on a long term basis then they are surely more affordable and sturdy.

The lighting is giving a very good show to the building

As we keep walking through these old streets, it also brings back many memories of the past. These are the places where I have always been around, but now they become once in a while affair.

Mumbai traffic is always crazy :-) at any time of the day or night. On a weekend even at 2 a.m. you will find these streets crowded.

In our conversations, we walked up a long way and did not even realize that we almost reached home.

These are the things that I miss back in Muscat, there we are always travelling by car. Walking casually is barely a thing. The only walks I take are my regular evening walks, which I do enjoy, but these kind of casual walking does not happen, as everything is almost connected with the highway, and walking there is not comfortable and feels dangerous also with the traffic moving in speed.
Today I have afternoon flight back to Muscat. This time I am not feeling very sad, because it's only going to be a month and I travel back to Mumbai again. During this 1 month I have a few celebrations also coming up, my son will also be visiting me, so it's going to be an active month with all of it, and I am sure it will pass off very soon.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

You can really feel the love and nostalgia for Mumbai in every word and the contrast between the calm of Muscat and the energy of Mumbai is so vivid.
